Brian Dennehy was the first in his family to work as a professional actor, and he created a lasting legacy continuing for his grandchildren, 2 of whom are students at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, (LACHSA).
On January 6th at LACHSA, Mr. Dennehy will participate in a fundraiser for arts programs at the school. He will be performing scenes from some of his ‘greatest hits’: Death of a Salesman, Long Day’s Journey Into Night, and from plays yet to be tackled-King Lear and The Dresser.Brian will be supported onstage by 2 popular acting teachers at LACHSA; Chris Fairbanks and Jeremy Guskin, his son-in-law James Lancaster and his own daughter Elizabeth Dennehy . The evening will be followed by a Q&A session and a dessert reception for VIP ticket holders.Mr. Dennehy, who has won a Golden Globe, an Olivier and 2 Tony Awards, lives in Connecticut but has been in LA since the fall working at the Mark Taper Forum in Sebastian Barry’s The Steward of Christendom. He is delighted to be able to support arts in the schools for his grandchildren and their friends.
