RINGO All Starr Band 2013

By Jimmy Steinfeldt Hollywood(Hollywood Today)10/24/13/—I had the honor of photographing the very first Ringo & His All Starr Band show in 1989. Now all these years later I had the honor to photograph Ringo’s 2013 version (Ringo, Steve Lukather, Richard Page, Gregg Rolie, Todd Rundgren, Mark Rivera, and Gregg Bissonette). Ringo and his band appeared at SIR in Hollywood for an afternoon press conference on Wednesday 10-23-13.

Today Ringo issued the following statement in response to hearing that all the ‘Kids in the Car’ in his now-famous 1964 photo, currently featured in his Genesis Publications book PHOTOGRAPH, have been identified:
“How great that they found these people!  And how cool to now know a little of their story and what that moment was like from their perspective. Right now I’m off in Latin America on tour and I won’t be back until November when we play two shows at the Palms in Las Vegas.  I look forward to meeting them when I get back. See you in Las Vegas! Peace & love, Ringo”
The photo mystery was first announced in USA Today (http://www.usatoday.com/ story/life/music/2013/10/21/ who-are-the-mystery-fans-in- the-photo-taken-by-ringo- starr/2997911/) which launched a nationwide search resulting in the discovery of these fans.
Ringo and the All Starr Band are currently on tour in Latin America (see tour dates below) and they will end this leg with two shows in Las Vegas at the Palms on November 22 and 23rd where Ringo will meet them.

The tour launched last week with a press event in Los Angeles, including a Genesis Publications presentation of Ringo’s PHOTOGRAPH book and fine art prints. Legendary photographer Henry Diltz discussed Ringo’s photography and 13-time GRAMMY Award winner Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, Nirvana) and fellow drummer Steve Gorman from the Black Crowes  discussed Ringo’s drumming (see photo of Steve, Dave, Ringo and All Starr drummer Gregg Bissonette).
