) 10/4/13 – “This is a show that is not about struggling to be a vampire. It’s about embracing vampirism. It’s about reveling in it,” says Julie Plec, Executive producer of The Originals told HT.
Vampire fans rejoice, for you have a Vampire Diaries spinoff show to watch! It’s full of everything that a good vampire show should have, penetrating stares, posturing, throats being ripped out, and more posturing. Don’t forget the rousing or threatening speeches.
This show is about the original family of vampires in the Vampire Diaries universe. It focuses on Elijah, Rebekah, and Klaus in present-day New Orleans. The plotline is not especially original, despite the name. However, the acting and writing look like they will make this an enjoyable show, all things considered. The cast oozes urbane charisma or penetrating threat, which work well together.
If you like vampire shows, this show will make you giddy with delight. It really does revel in being good-looking and powerful forever.
Premiere aired Thursday 10/3 on the CW Netwwork
