The evening of April 26th, British luxury furnishings designer, Christopher Guy Harrison, presented the 3rd
Annual BritWeek Design Icon Award to Ian Callum – the design director of Jaguar.
The award, specially created by Lord Wedgwood, was presented at this private celebration sponsored by Architectural Digest at the Christopher Guy West Hollywood showroom, located on 8900 Beverly Boulevard.
The trio, Lord Wedgwood, Christopher Guy Harrison and Bob Pierce were holding the opening speeches of the Design Icon Award, with actress Eva La Rue as hostess.
The award stands for his outstanding work as chief designer of Jaguar in the presence of the E-Type successor, the F-Type

The event was also showcasing British creativity and excellence in the design field.
During the evening guests were be able to admire the fine work of Christopher Guy and Ian Callum, from the Jaguar F-Type in the entrance of the showroom to the iconic Christopher Guy pieces displayed throughout the showroom.

The 2013 recipient, Ian Callum, is the Jaguar Design Director, and with him at its forefront, the Jaguar brand has become globally respected and admired, which shows the best of British design.
Ian has helped put the UK on the map as a global leader in the luxury automotive industry, especially in Southern California.

Christopher Guy Harrison added:

Harrison, the creator and CEO of the Christopher Guy brand, was born in Britain, raised in Spain and France, and currently based in Singapore.

The store’s listing of accomplished projects includes the Wynn Resorts in Las Vegas and Macau, the Phoenix Resort in Sanya, China and the Ritz Carlton in Tokyo.

Guy’s furnishings have become stars with their own right in films such as “Casino Royale,” “The Devil Wears Prada,” and “The Hangover.”
Next month Christopher Guy will expand with the opening of a 20,000 sq. ft. showroom in New York Design Center.

The festivities concluded with a glamorous fashion show featuring showgirl and dress designer Dita Von Teese’s current capsule dress collection, available at Decades store in Los Angeles.
Vintage Alexander McQueen gowns were provided by Chic Little Devil and on display as installations.
The evening spirits were provided by Rosenthal Wines and Blue Ice Vodka.
