Announcements from Tassler By Valerie Milano Pasadena, CA (Hollywood Today) 1/13/13 – CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler enthuses, “We have a big month ahead to kick off the second half of the year: AFC Championship Game in primetime, a little game called the Super Bowl, special episodes of “Elementary” and “Craig Ferguson” after the Super Bowl, and the Grammy Awards. And all of that in a four-week window.” She goes on to say to Hollywood Today and other reporters, “We have four of the top five comedies, the top seven dramas, 17 — 17 of the top 30 shows overall. ‘NCIS’ and the ‘Big Bang Theory’ are TV’s biggest hits, often topping 20 million viewers a week. And ‘Big Bang’ has hit series highs the last two weeks. NCIS is TV’s No. 1 show in viewers again, and ‘Big Bang’ has jumped ‘Modern Family’ as the No. 1 show on television in 18-49.” Nina mentioned some interesting tidbits about CBS’s upcoming schedule. “With regard to ‘Two and a Half Men,’ I just want to put it out there, we’ve told Warner Bros. we would like to have an 11th season. And they’re equally interested. So stay tuned.” She goes on to say, “Looking even further ahead, this will be our most aggressive summer so far with original programming. Two original scripted dramas, at least one reality series, and a longer season of ‘Big Brother.’ We are announcing summer premiere dates today for ‘Unforgettable,’ for ‘Under the Dome,’ for ‘Big Brother,’ and ‘The Great’ — it’s an American version of ‘The Great British Bake Off.’  And let me just give you a little bit more on ‘Under the Dome.’ It is based on Stephen King’s best-selling book. It’s produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television. We begin shooting in Wilmington, North Carolina in February. You will start seeing promos for it in the Super Bowl.”
