HOLLYWOOD, CA. (Hollywood Today) 11/20/12/—On Sunday, November 18th, Interscope Records and Nivea hosted a dinner and after party for the 40th Anniversary of the American Music Awards at the infamous SBE owned Redbury Hotel in Hollywood, CA. The sit down dinner included some of the biggest names in music and featured bites curated by executive chef Daniel Elmaleh.
The menu consisted of Cleo’s signature Mediterranean fare, beginning with a variety of light snacks. Popular dishes complimented Elmaleh’s laudable Spanakopita with wood burning oven baked laffa bread, garlic shrimp, chicken kebabs and traditional saffron infused rice. Ciroc Ultra Premium Vodka and Nivea Lip Butter fueled the evening’s antics and “Printstagram” was there to capture all the action on film.
When guests entered the Nivea lounge the large black box prompted further investigation because it resembled the very first commercially successful photographic process. The first daguerreotype was painfully slow, but happily the mysterious black box was able to develop guest’s Twitpics on the fly.
This sweet little device combines Instagram and Twitter by developing smartphone photos on the spot using Polaroid technology. In between celeb sightings and red carpet photo-ops Printstagram continuously printed photos sent in from around the world using the hashtag #BetterKisses.
Alexis Knapp revealed to me that her Grecian inspired gown’s Mediterranean flair was not prompted by the restaurant décor. Then she briefly shared details of her latest project, a pilot titled “Cinnamon Girl.” She could hardly contain her excitement over the period piece set in the 60′s during the height of Hollywood glamor.
Just after 11:00 pm the party migrated upstairs toward Library Bar where Skylar Grey and Thavius Beck took the stage preforming covers of songs by Eminem, a fellow Interscope artist. The performance commenced with a killer single by Grey called, “Dance Without You.” Grey’s passion for the music took center stage as she belted perfect vocals while simultaneously jumping from speakers. The songstress wore a casual ensemble of jeans, sneakers and allowed her black bra to peek out from under an open white blazer—so seductive!

Sonny Moore (nom de musique Shrillex) attended Grey’s performance and late night shenanigans. When asked about the performance he called Grey’s ballad, “amazing” and named Thavius Beck a “genius.” It’s my guess that Shrillex came by to scope out Interscope’s newest addition, the talented Ms. Grey.
“Don’t Look Down” is the title of Grey’s album out December 11th. The highly anticipated album gets its name from her latest single, “Tower,” which she completed just few short weeks ago. “I was in Detroit shooting the video for my first single ‘C’mon Let Me Ride’ ft. Eminem. It was a ton of fun!” Wow, I’m not sure if Shrillex and the rest of Grey’s fans can wait that long!
