Las Vegas,NV(Hollywood Today)10/27/12/—The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas held Vegas Beauty Unbound 2012  and The Battle of the Strand 2012 Competition On October 22, Kim Vō ( A-list celebrity stylist) and Dayna Roselli (CBS LV Ent Reporter) co-hosted Vegas Beauty Unbound: Battle of the Strands 2012 at The Joint .  Producers, Chuck Akin and Wes Hirni put together a fabulous show, DJ Music by Nick Ayler and live performance by Lex Rox and dance performances.

Teams competed in a hair, makeup, costume, props and execution impact competition. The nationwide competition chose final 12 teams including Renee & Gina Salon from Chicago, Illinois Renee Oliveto, and Gina Oliveto the Mother Daughter Dynamo’s who are an inspiration ensure all occasions are more than special for their clientele, and 3 Hair Makeup from Los Angeles, CA Dayana Medina, Melisse Medina, Suzay Chen, Carolina Yasukawa two sisters featured on “My Fair Wedding”,  and Salon De Cordova, Lutz Florida Ben De Cardova, Chris De Cardova, Portia De Cardova, it’s a family affair,  team Florida three generations, holds over 25 first place titles nationally and internationally most prestigious hair competitions.

Celebrity Hair Stylist, Kim Vō, hosted the Unveiling Party at the Hard Rock Hotel Casino, Las Vegas Vanity Night Club where the gold theme and participating models were unveiled.
Then five competing salon teams were announced at Feast of Sensuality hosted by Sexy Hair;

Team one, Mile High Magic from Denver, Colorado, Ed Gillespie, Lindsay Ambrosio, Dina Bree, Bobbie Michell, featured styles on CBS. NBC, Oxygen and TLC.

Team two, Clark Russell Salon San Francisco, CA Clark Russell, Jeffrey Lotspeich, Anje Mayma, and Brenda Agcaoili working with most elite celebrity clientele.

Team three, Fringes from Omaha, Nebraska Carol Cole Lapole, Omar, Rodriquez, Tiffany Welch Kristina Lee, Inspiring, talent and work ethic appeared on MTV regularly, fashion week LA and on tour with Ricky Martin.

Team four, Glam Alliance Minneapolis, Minnesota, Andrew Schmitz, Brenda torre, Crystal Mitchell, highly regarded as the insider team with many renowned beauty pageants and over 100 celebrity clients.

Team five Body Spa Salon, Las Vegas, Nevada, Jessica Taylor Felix Mcshan Jeremy Mihelich one of Las Vegas larges salons, President Debbie Ritchey. Four respected industry judges, Kandee Johnson a Celebrity Makeup Artist and YouTube Personality, Rafe Hardy Artistic Creative Director face of Sexy Hair, Nick Verreos Fashion Designer and Expert recurring on Bravo, E and Style etc. Lori Montoya , Rain Cosmetics Co-Founder selected the winning salon based on a variety of categories to crown the last standing salon with the Xtreme Salon 2012 title.

Spectators could also enjoy the competition via live stream on YouTube. “This is such a great honor to be named Xtreme Salon 2012,” said Andrew, Glam Alliance winning team member. “It was amazing to work with such talented teams and their creativity. The whole Battle of the Strands experience has inspired me to try new styles continue embracing our creativity.”

Creative talents and excellent stylist’s hard work were also recognized throughout the challenges with additional awards including Best in Color with Schwarzkopf Professional,
Best Hair Design with Sexy Hair, and also Best Mastery in Makeup with Bhumi Brushes and People’s Choice Award.

The Body Spa Salon, Las Vegas own Sin City Showdown took home the award for Best in Color with Schwarzkopf Professional and Glam Alliance was awarded Best Hair Design with Sexy Hair for their towering take on this year’s theme.

Best Mastery in Makeup with Bhumi brushes went to Fringes salon for their colorful rendition and flawless finish. Thousands of fans voted online during the completion to crown Fringes salon with the People’s Choice award. Kandee Johnson and fellow Youtube Beauty Gurus stirred the industry that night with their support of a powerful expression of pure talent by the teams of salons from across the nation.
