Hollywood, CA (Hollywood Today) 10/7/12- Rack said, “These three plays have been tailor-made for Mountain View, so be prepared for some creepy, freaky scares and surprises”.
The Mountainview Mausoleum and Cemetery in Altadena sounds like the perfect setting for a truly eerie Halloween experience.
The first annual “Wicked Lit” production began in 2009 at the haunted and haunting Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills with guests having enjoyed theatrical adaptations of great authors from Edgar Allen Poe, R.L. Stevenson, Twain and Dickens and this year won’t disappoint.
“This year – the experience will truly begin the moment that the audience emerges from their cars. We don’t want to give away too much, but we promise our patrons 100% immersive theatre,” said Jonathan Josephson, Co-Artistic Director of Unbound Productions.
Unbound Productions was founded by Josephson, Paul Millet and Jeff G. Rack in an effort to create new adaptations of classic stories, with their latest project, “History Lit” in the works.
The selections this year include Marion Crawford’s “The Dead Smile”, with a family curse and disfigured parent committed to keeping young lovers apart. M.R. James’ “Count Magnus” where a travel writer journeys to a village rumored to have a ghostly nobleman terrorizing the town, but what he finds when he gets there may cost him…and Johan Ludwig Tieck’s “Wake Not the Dead”. Some deals should not be made but Walter brings his first love back to life and now the only one who can save him may just be his wife.
