US Version of Top Gear Premiers August 14th on History Channel

Top Gear US hosts are comedian Adam Ferrara, champion race car driver Tanner Foust and racing analyst Rutledge Wood.

By Gabrielle Pantera Hollywood CA, (Hollywood Today) 8/7/2012 – “The craziest thing we did this run of six was something I’ve always wanted to do…pick up a rental car and try to get it through the desert on some of the craziest off road trails I’ve ever seen,” says racing analyst and one of the three hosts of the American version of Top Gear Rutledge Wood. “It’s something that is, or at least should be, completely impossible. It was insane! I can’t wait for everyone to see it.” The US version of  Top Gear hosts are comedian Adam Ferrara, champion race car driver Tanner Foust and racing analyst Rutledge Wood. The third season kicks off on Tuesday August 14th at 9pm ET on History. Tanner, Adam and Rutledge will explore our great country and testing the limits of the vehicle they drive. From the swamps of Louisiana to Utah’s Monument Valley to the Alaskan wilderness, if it has four wheels, these guys want to drive it. This season Adam, Tanner and Rutledge race against speed boats, snowmobiles and jets, test the most modern police cars, (it’s not the Crown Victoria), and see how far you can really get on one tank of gas. The second season of the Top Gear here in America broke into the millionaire’s club with 1.1 million Adults 25-54 and 18-49 (+30 and +22 vs. S1, respectively) and is the youngest skewing series on History. Almost 60 million viewers watched season two. The British version of Top Gear is 35 year strong. If you haven’t seen Top Gear it has three car fanatics and features super-cars, extreme stunts and challenges, car reviews and celebrity interviews. Top Gear is for anyone who loves cars. Top Gear in the UK is consistently BBC TWO’s most-watched program. Top Gear made its stateside debut on BBC America in 2007. One of the BBC’s premiere brands, and reaches over 150 million households globally.
