Technology to keep your electronic device dry for summer 2012.
By Karen Ostlund
HOLLYWOOD CA (Hollywood Today) 7/25/2012 - Last week of July, and the whole month of August remains the most popular time to take a beach vacation, in both US and Europe. For many, dropping an iPhone, iPod or camera in the toilette or salt water can actually ruin your summer vacation.
Three methods are listed below, presented earlier this year during the CES convention by Digital Experience & Start-up debut in Las Vegas.
Liquipel.com is a revolutionary process that applies a waterproof coating to your electronic devices to protect them in the event of accidental exposure to liquids, even salt-water. You need to bring or mail in your device to have it done, which treatment time is a minimum of 30 minutes.
It is not visible to the human eye, virtually undetectable. Liquipel does not affect the look, feel, and performance of your electronics. The coating penetrates the entire device, all the vital components, inside and out.
It’s surprising how much more you can do with your Liquipelled device. Talking in the rain; no problem. Unexpected water gun fights, spilled wine on your phone or dropped it in the sink; grab it, wipe it off and keep going.
The iHangy keychain & necklace with touch pen, makes losing your iPhone or iPod a thing of the past.
Thanks to its secure clip-on design, you never have to worry about your Apple device slipping out of your back pocket or getting lost in the jumble of your handbag contents again. The iHangy keychain is made of durable surface-plated metal for added peace of mind, with an attached touch pen for your iPhone’s touch screen.
By securing it around the neck or clipping to their clothing, bag-or belt, ihangy ensures that the world’s millions of iPhone users never misplace their can’t-live-without-it smart phone again. The iHangy accessory is a versatile all-in-one solution for all iPhone models, including the newer 4S and 4 as well as the earlier 3S and 3G generations. It’s even compatible with iPods. (iHangy.com)
The DryCASE is completely waterproof up to 100 feet, and is tested underwater overnight. It has a 3 way headphone jack, which allows you to use both stereo headphones and your microphone, and even listen to music or take calls.
The vacuum seal takes all the air out of the case so there is no way that water can enter. There can be no exchange of gas (air) for liquid (water). The vacuum seal also allows full use of your touch screen because it seal flush on the face of the phone.
You can also hear and talk through the DryCASE as long as a little air is left in, it will still be waterproof and can be sealed, there just needs to be a little bit of air for sound waves to travel.
The case is clear on both sides for taking photos and having full use of the controls or screen of your device, and it also features a neoprene armband which can be used to attach the product to your arm,
In addition, it fits many size devices, and works great with the iphone and other smart phones; it will fit almost any sized phone, camera or MP3 player.
Everything will stay dry when the Dry Case is used properly. Leave the object in the vacuumed case and check it for 3 minutes before jumping into the water. The vacuum (no air inside) mean no gas/liquid exchange = completely dry. (Drycase.com)
