HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 2012/2/16 – Gosh!Radio host Gabrielle Pantera will be interviewing Carolina Liar and taking callers’ questions on Meet the Music. Watch live at www.goshradio.com and call in your questions during the show using the phone numbers listed below. Gosh!Radio serves callers with local numbers in 15 countries.

“All of the songs are true stories,” says Carolina Liar lead vocalist Chad Wolf. “There are a lot of themes to our music. The newest record was fueled a lot by how weak the country is right now.”

Carolina Liar is best known for the songs I’m Not Over that was featured in the CW TV series The Vampire Diaries and for Beautiful World in Gossip Girl. California Bound was in the pilot episode of 90210. The band later guest starred on the show, performing Show Me What I’m Looking For and I’m Not Over. Their songs Coming to Terms, When You Are Near and Simple Life were featured on One Tree Hill.

Carolina Liar is a pop rock band produced by Swedish producer Max Martin. Their 2008 major label debut album Coming to Terms was produced by Max Martin. The band’s sound can be described as a mix of The Killers and U2. Wolf hails from Moncks Corner, a small town outside Charleston, South Carolina. The other band members all came from Sweden.

Carolina Liar Band Members

  • Chad Wolf, vocals and guitar
  • Rickard Göransson, guitar
  • Johan Carlsson, keyboards
  • Peter Carlsson, drums and percussion

Wolf describes Carolina Liar as a modern style that’s influenced by everything. Carolina Liar has two albums released, Wild Blessed Freedom and Coming to Terms. The band was with a major label but is indie now with their own label Liar Records. They have distribution in North America and through Amazon through RED.

Wolf says he’s been singing since, “as soon as I could talk” and plays, “anything I can get my hands on.” The band writes its own songs. “All of us in the band write,” says Wolf. “It’s pretty organic really. For the most part it starts with the melody.”

Charities the band supports include Falling Whistles (a campaign for peace in The Congo) and Goodwill Industries.

Upcoming Performances

Carolina Liar is appearing at Dress for Success at the top of the London hotel in March. They have a show in Las Vegas on April 4th. Wolf says they hope to perform someday with U2 and Swedish House Mafia. “Those crowds would be insane,” says Wolf.
