Feldman and Milano NATPE 2012

The NATPE 2012 conference was held in January at the beautiful Fountainebleu Hotel in Miami Beach brought HT the chance to chat with President and CEO, Rick Feldman.

Last year Feldman told attendees ““Moving to Miami in 2011 was a great success for the international community we serve and we received overwhelmingly positive responses from those who attended,” said Feldman. “We saw a big increase in attendees from the United States, Europe and Latin America and every indication has been that a considerable amount of business was done.”

Having served NATPE for 9 years, co-chairmen Chris grant and Jordan Levin announced on Tuesday that Feldman’s contract is due to end on April 30. Mr. Feldman commented, “We deeply appreciate the contributions Rick has made to NATPE including his work most recently on our very successful Miami Conference, which grew in all key categories for the second year in a row”.

NATPE has evolved with the industry over the past many years providing members with events, education, networking, support and guidance for all platforms in the television industry with the Conference and Exhibition being a major highlight.

Feldman moves into a consultant role and will aid newly retained Korn Ferry in the transition of the next CEO. “I am very proud of what I have accomplished during my time as CEO of NATPE.  We have expanded our programs, improved our financial position, enhanced our brand internationally, integrated the digital world and brought new life to our organization with our move to Miami .  I look forward to working with the person who will replace me and with the organization as a consultant in the years ahead.”
