Hollywood, CA (Hollywood Today) 10/31/11—Reality star Kim Kardashian has filed to divorce NBA player Kris Humphries, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Kardashian, 31, and Humphries, 26, married in an extravagant wedding on August 20. The wedding aired on E! in a two-day special called “Kim’s Fairytale Wedding” and has been on repeat this last month.

“I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision,” Kardashian told Access in a statement. “I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don’t work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best.”

According to the divorce filing, Kardashian has asked Humphries to pay for his own lawyer fees and she would do the same. She also asked the court to reject any attempt by Humphries to get spousal support.

It’s reported the two have a prenuptial agreement.

“I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce,” Humphries said in a statement to Access. “I’m committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents. I’m willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.”
