HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 2/13/11 — Music legend Herbie Hancock had a lot to say backstage about the earth and particularly Egypt and its revolution.
“Evolution of the human spirit with culture, and I’m always for that. The record ‘Imagine’ is really about encouraging the ordinary human being to create the kind of globalized world we want to live in. Globalization is not going away”
As far as his vision for others, he said, “I encourage young people to be curious. Do not limit yourself to just the one easy path you’ve gotten success from in the past. Those who have been around for many ways have been those who have re-invented themselves.”
A world peace advocate, Hancock commented on President Mubarak’s stepping down in Egypt by saying, “It think it is great that people are using peaceful means” for getting a “Peaceful government.” He added, “It’s good for the Middle East and good for the world.”
