HOLLYWOOD CA (Hollywood Today) 10/25/10–

Sponsor Fresita, Chilean sparkling strawberry wine kicked off Julia Clancey’s Spring collection presentation “Sensually Sorbet” at the Palihouse this weekend.

It’s her first fashion show since her last collection was stolen just days before show. The dresses were shipped from UK in a big box, which just disappeared outside her office door. Julia tells us about the incident:

-“We have found the person that stole the box, and I will go to trial in early November” “Some of the pieces of ‘Sensually Sorbet” are actually a remake from the gowns lost last season”

-“It was the cleaning personnel from the building that took them, for the simply reason she liked them”

UK-born Julia Clancey is now opening her first boutique at Westmount Avenue in West Hollywood.

-“It’s an appointment only store, and I am excited about it”, she says.

Spring 2011 features softer silhouettes of oversized silk ruffles, full circled tulle skirts teamed with asymmetric and plunging necklines.

Clancey is using a color palette of pastel candy with peppermint, aqua, watermelon, lemons, lilac and white.

_” It’s like taking a ride through the looking glass of Alice in Wonderland, an afternoon tea in the rose garden” she says about the new collection.

The dresses are embellished with signature hand embroidered crystals, beads and sequins and reflect her love for vintage glamour.
