HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 8/31/10 — Los Angeles was abuzz during Emmy week as celebrities visited gifting lounges, gathering up hot new items from international designers as they prepared for the red carpet on television’s most celebrated night.
The GBK Luxury Gift Lounge is always the hottest ticket for A-listers during awards week, due to its high-end, luxury gifting, pampering and hospitality. Accordingly, Southern California’s photographers line up to capture the famous faces that can always be found on GBK’s Red Carpet.
And talk about job perks! The GBK and TIC TAC MINTS Luxury Lounge was filled with luxury items including trips, beauty products, fashion and electronics. Emmy Nominees relaxed on the patio of the exquisite SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, sipping Lombardi Limoncello and enjoying massages and manicures before and after their trips inside the lounge.
The event drew nineteen Emmy Nominees and presenters and top talent, including Adrian Brody (clearly delighted with his new Invicta Watch), Neil Patrick Harris (who picked up a couple of adorable, handmade baby bibs for the twins, courtesy of Backseat Driver), Jennifer Love Hewitt, Alan Cumming, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Blair Underwood, Seth Green, Beau Bridges, Julie Benz, Michael Chiklis, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Fred Willard and many others.
Title Sponsor TIC TAC MINTS, the leading mint brand for over 40 years, gifted the attendees with a 1-year supply of the delectable breath freshener, which come in new flavors such as Pink Grapefruit, along with Tic Tac’s new CHILL, which comes in Paradise Mint and Exotic Cherry.
Presenting Sponsor Capital A Entertainment gifted actors with customized Apple iPads, equipped with electronic Save the Date invitations to their upcoming exclusive NBA All Star and Super Bowl related events.
The Lounge was aglow with the chic glamour of Invicta Watches, as celebrities gathered around the Caribbean Magazine display in anticipation of trips to world-famous resorts, and delighted in generous gift certificates from Handbag Envy and Beyond the Rack.
Many celebs’ first stop around the room was at the 3LAB table, attended to by prominent skin care expert and company President Spencer A. Kanis. 3LAB is renowned for its high-end skin products, which use the most innovative and technologically advanced ingredients available, including Perfect Body Cream.
Pin Up Girl Clothing and Couture, a deliciously sexy retro-design clothing and accessory company, was a definite hit, with flirty throwbacks to the ‘40’s and ‘50’s. The gorgeous designs of Elana Sigal, who creates exquisite, handmade jewelry from semi-precious gems and metals, were quite popular with the A-listers and are sure to be found on red carpets and in the chicest boutiques worldwide.
Many celebs arrived courtesy of Exclusive Sedan Service Worldwide — a family owned and operated company, which is trusted year-round by high-profile clientele — and left the event adorned with the gorgeous stylngs of Manu, a Brazilian jewelry designer, specializing in one-of-a-kind cocktail rings.
Rich new scents from Giorgio Armani Beauty filled the Lounge, and Peter Lamas Products for hair were also in demand. RevitaLash — a mandatory part of many celebs’ dressing tables — along with hand-made shapewear from TC Fine Intimates, freshwater pearl jewelry from The Island Pearl by Leighton, a combination of creative products and fashion from Heaping Spektacle with Traver Rains, $500 gift certificates from Nehita Jewelry, leggings from Denimocracy USA, and Happy Feet footwear, which offers pain relief from high-heels, were all sought-after items.
The innovative pull-out drawer, fashionable and functional bags for parents by Mrs. Smith’s Bags were also a favorite, and items from FreshCloz, MegaFood and HairFinity were happily accepted by attendees.
Partial proceeds from the event went to the Ann and George Lopez Foundation (www.TheLopezFoundation.org), which supports various non-profits, including the Animal Rescue Foundation, Not on Our Watch, the ENOUGH Project, and the United Service Organization. The event also supported Hollywood Arts (www.HollywoodArts.org), which provides mentoring and classes to at-risk teens and exists to improve self-esteem, develop thinking skills, master educational concepts and offer job-readiness training to youth in transition.
A representative from CNN was also on site to educate guests about the upcoming 2010 CNN Heroes Awards in November. To learn more about CNN Heroes, please visit www.cnn.com/heroes.
