Both Stephanie G and Janelle are part of the Juan Juan Salon in Beverly Hills, and Debbie Durkin’s 4th annual eco-styling chateau, to benefit American Red Cross & Green Wish. Door donations from guests was benefiting charity partners.
The honorees was sipping signature well drinks by Tierras Tequila Organic Margarita, and tasting DelBondio Italian Organic Wines.
Chef John Spag prepared his favorite dish: lamb-chops, mushroom with onion and salad:
-“I can cook to up to 3000 people on a film set. I just ended working on “Three Kings”, and will start to cook for the movie “Hostel 3”, this upcoming week.
The chateau-like hybrid solar-house was located up a viney road in West Hollywood, Flicker Way, which is for rent for a whopping $60.000/month. It includes furniture, linen and all electricity & gas you can use and store, with help of the top roofs’ solar powered penals.
Spa-treatments were available by Dr. Celedonia Yue’s Aesthetic Medicine, Cranial massage by Derma Dream and facial acupuncture & cupping by Dr.Stephen Tsai. Manicure was offered by OPI Concept Nail Salon and eco-eyebrow threading by Marco Ochoa.
HWhite Body Collection was sampling their new bodycare line of products including lotion, bodycream, soap and bodywash. It’s a very hydrated product, which takes away the affect of dry, dull skin without the effects of clogging.
Hybrid Solar Light was giving away their latest solar charge technology of a waterproof rechargeable hand lamp. It has been on the market one year now. The solar power in the lamp remains the same 3 years without using it, and the backup battery holds seven years. You can switch it on, after all these years in storage and still get 50 hours of light before leaving it in the sun again.
Another new product connected with the garment industry was Deo Go, for deodorant and sweat stained shirts and tops. Leave in the garment for 20 minutes, then wash and dry.(getDeoGo.com)
Eco-Skin’s CEO Sandy Skinner was presenting her fall 2010 collection of organic cotton. Most people remember Eco-Skin as being part of “The Gallery” fashion house of organic contemporary wear:
-“My organic cotton contains 92% hemp and 8% spandex. The procedure is one machine weaves the whole garment, so there is no waste.”
The colors of her eco-knit dresses and tops are watercolors combined with heather grey, blue stone, loganberry and black. They are both draped long and short with convertible shirred waist, as well as halter and strapless bandeau style.
Designer Deborah Lindquist is 100 % Swedish from her parents but was born in US:
-“My fall 2010 line is called Cowgirl meets Thunderdome, because of the western styling of my clothing meet the end of the world – a more daring and edgier style.
Most of my Signature Couture line for the Emmys and its social events are made of cashmere, micro modal-silk and organic cotton.
“I have also a new recycle sonic-fabric from recycled pre-recorded cassette tapes in bustier and evening gowns. The recording makes sounds if you press your sonic walkman across the fabric”
-Right now I am also preparing for a Spring 2011 fashion show in New York in September – it will be a line based on t-shirts of organic cotton”
Pol’Atteu from Pol’Atteu Eco-Couture is originally from Armenia:
“-Betty White wore my organic silk dress for the SAG awards – but I have also designed dresses for Anna Nicole Smith, Denise Richards and for the cast of “The Bold & Beautiful” and “Glee”.
“All my organic silk gowns comes from re-purpose fabrics and vegetable dyes – and many of my clients come from Indonesia”
