HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 8/31/10 – Bristol Palin, daughter of Republican Sarah Palin, is set to compete on “Dancing With The Stars.”
Palin will perform against former “Baywatch” star David Hasselhoff, R&B singer Brandy and actress Jennifer Grey, who shot to fame with her role in 1987’s “Dirty Dancing.”
Contestants will also include singer Michael Bolton, retired NFL quarterback Kurt Warner, and retired L.A. Laker Rick Fox.
Brady Bunch mama Florence Henderson will also perform in the show.
“It’s an oddball group,” said casting producer Deena Katz to USA Today. “Going into the 11th season, it’s challenging trying to find something fresh. You always need buzz. And I wanted a cast that you didn’t have to Google.”
The Season 11 “Dancing With The Stars” is set to premiere on Sept. 20.

The definition of “star” is stretched to its limit in the case of Bristol Palin’s booking. Is Rudy Giuliani’s daughter who was recently caught shoplifting is also a star? Can she rhumba? You get the idea.
