Hollywood CA (Hollywood Today) 8/29/2010 – “I love this Job!” Edie Falco, formerly known as the wife of Tony Soprano takes home Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Jackie Peyton in Nurse Jackie.

Thirty-six episodes and two years after the show debuted, Eddie Falco continues to rise as a prominent actress in Television. However, she has been a rising star for the past 10 years and has the awards to prove it. Her success on the red carpet includes two Golden Globe’s for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series (Drama) in 2000 and 2003 for “The Sopranos.”

Edie Falco’s characters on screen can only be described as tough hard hitting women. Her personal life is no different. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004 and recovered the same year. The 47 year old actress has a bright future ahead of her and it will be interesting to see what awards she has yet to win.
