Hollywood, CA (HollywoodToday) 8/29/2010 – “I’m so insecure that I actually seem open minded” said Mathew Weiner after accepting the show’s third Emmy award for Outstanding Drama Series. AMC’s sleek drama “Mad Men” set in the 1960’s about a hard hitting and prestigious advertising agency won its third Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series for the third consecutive year.

Mad Men has already had its share of stardom on the red carpet. Since the show’s first episode in 2007, it has won 4 Golden Globes with another 38 wins and 76 nominations. The Emmy’s have a fascination with the series. In its 3 year run, it has taken home two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Drama Series (2008 & 2009).

Among the shows other Emmy wins are Outstanding Hairstyling for a Single Camera Series in 2008 and 2009, Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series in 2008 and 2009, Outstanding Art Direction for a Single-Camera Series in 2008 and Outstanding Cinematography for a One-Hour Series in 2008.

So far producers Mathew Weiner, Scott Hornbacher, Andre and Maria Jacquemetton and Lisa Albert have steered the show to Emmy Victory. It will interesting to see how long the show can reign supreme at the Emmy awards come next year.
