The Secret Room Isn’t Under Wraps for Glitterati

“The Secret Room” were the words to whisper for celebrities in the know about the hot-ticket event on the rooftop of the Peterson Automotive Museum overlooking Hollywood on Friday and Saturday. But press and photographers were in full swing as the event drew famous faces and paparazzi to kick off the 2010 Emmy Awards Weekend.
Always a popular stop for celebs in the know, The Secret Room is well-loved for the fine lines it offers, as well as its luxurious setting, tastefully styled this year by Patio Heaven. Miucha is a line of gorgeous pumps and other shoes already popular in Brazil, which is sure to take the west coast by storm. No Sleep had a great presence and complimentary gift certificates, with cotton lines for men, women and children.
Belly Buds for mothers-to-be is a unique way of preparing to welcome a baby with prenatal music and will prove to be a popular baby shower gift item for celebs and mainstream clientele alike. Monavie, always popular, garnered respect for its non-profit outreach to the impoverished in Brazil through the MORE Project, donating a percentage of proceeds.
Melissa Lew’s Asian designs were an absolute hit and were snatched up by guests upon sight. Ooohs and aaahs over the fragrant candles of Earthly Body increased as guests were told they can double as massage oil. The unique fragrance of a hand-rolled cigar emanated from The Cigar Guys, helmed by the delightful Tony Wilson. Caribbean Living Magazine presented guests with gift certificates from Elite Island Resorts for all-inclusive stays in some of the world’s most beautiful destinations.
Proceeds from The Secret Room went to Operation Smile, which is having a benefit on September 24, 2010 at The Beverly Hilton Hotel. The day was rounded out with generous gifts of iPhone and Blackberry covers by Bling Cases, a lovely bag of goodies by Fanie International, and gifts by Lash M, Cynergy, Arctic Ease (Ease the Pain), Canus body products, Visine, and complimentary pampering items from the distinctly upper-echelon Kahala Hotel and Resort in Honolulu.
