Saturday Night Live: MacGruber actor to Leave SNL
By Rima Bek
NEW YORK, NY (Hollywood Today) 8/27/10 — Saturday Night Live’s cast member, Will Forte, who famously played the inept adventurer MacGruber, will not return to the 36th season of NBC’s late-night series, according to the New York Times.
“After eight great seasons, Will has made the decision to move on from ‘SNL’ to pursue new opportunities,” said Forte’s publicist in an e-mail. “He is eternally grateful to Lorne and all of the incredible people he worked with over the years.”
The 40-year-old comedian and writer became an SNL cast member for the 2002-2003 season.
Forte is reported to leaving the show on friendly terms.
