Whether he is jumping into the world’s largest Bloody Mary as a celery stalk or teaching Mick Jagger how to be Mick Jagger, in an interview with HT, Jimmy Fallon is living his dreams it seems. “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” has turned into exactly the show he meant for it to be. “It’s the most fun job in the whole wide world. I’m just so psyched that I’m doing it.”

Fallon navigated the waters of the NBC Late Night debacle with class and sophistication, Fallon-style. After Conan’s final show they walked to his studio, “We sang “Voice to the Man,” and I poured a 40-ounce on the stage. “We wanted to do something respectful because it’s true, if it wasn’t for Conan, I wouldn’t have this job. He kicked butt for 16 years, 17 years, whatever, and then I came in. So I owe him a lot. So we just want to treat him with respect.”

“Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” has grown quite a bit since his first episode with Robert De Niro to which he explained, “wish I could have made the temperature cooler, because I was sweating so much – flop sweat – during that first show. It was like I just came off a water slide.” Now days, every good fan knows what thank-you notes and housewives are.

Fallon is hosting the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards August 29^th on NBC. Could he be handing Conan O’Brian an Emmy? Maybe, and he’s looking forward to what he has to say, but don’t look for too many hard pokes or mean jokes because Fallon is a nice guy, “when I hit people, I do it in the nicest way, so I think this — because I don’t dislike anybody. I love everybody and I love the whole business that we’re in. So I think, you know, just a little playful jab here and there is in order.”
