Daughter of Bill and Hillary Clinton ties the knot in fornt of all-star invitees

RHINEBECK, NY (Hollywood Today) 8/1/10 — Chelsea Clinton, daughter of former President Bill Clinton and current Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, married long time boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky on Saturday evening in an affluent New York village.
The bride and groom celebrated the evening with around 400-500 friends and family members at the exclusive Astor Courts, an elegant century-old mansion on the Hudson River.
Those who did attend the wedding include “Cheers” star Ted Danson and wife Mary Steenburgen, fashion designer Vera Wang—who may have also designed Chelsea Clinton’s wedding dress, and Hollywood producer Steve Bing. Major Clinton political allies who attended the wedding include former secretary of state Madeleine Albright and Democratic moneyman Terry McAuliffe. Big names that were rumored to attend but did not include talk show queen Oprah and film director Steven Spielberg.
Chelsea Clinton, who grew up in the White House and with lots of media attention, has sworn everyone participating in the event to keep quiet. Few details were actually leaked out in advance. Federal aviation authorities even enforced a no-fly zone around the estate.
Chelsea Clinton and husband Mezvinsky met as teenagers—Mexvinsky’s parents were also Democratic politicians—and remained close friends during their attendance at Stanford University. Their relationship became romantic about five years ago when both were working in New York.
They now live in New York, where Mezvinsky works at a Manhattan hedge fund. The 30-year old Chelsea Clinton completed her master’s degree in public health earlier this year.

I am sure over time more information about Chelsea’s wedding will come out, but what we have seen and heard has been nice. She looks beautiful and happy, and I am personally glad they made it a private affair without the media hovering over everyone. What we were able to see was enough for me. I can just imagine a nice day, and even hearing about how much money was spent made me glad that alot of people were getting work. I look to see more good things from Chelsea in the future.
