HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 6/22/10 – Actor/filmmaker Kenneth Monroe had inked a deal with Cadillac Fragrance in an unique way to make films. He is taking the path less traveled in Hollywood in a brave move to link with an major brand to fund his new film franchise.

Hailing from East Chicago, Indiana, Monroe’s upbringing fueled a need to make films with a social message.  In one year this young man produced, starred, and secured his own financing for three feature films. The result is multiple distribution deals on the table for his films “Stand Alone,” “East Chicago,” and “Santana Bishop.”  In addition to that, luxury brand Cadillac Fragrance signed on to sponsor his film campaign launching June 29, 2010 and named him the spokesperson for their newest men’s fragrance, Cadillac Black.

Monroe created three films drawing on elements from his own life, also ensuring the roles showcased acting range and ability. In the heartfelt drama “East Chicago,” he stars as the city’s youngest mayor, searching for a way to uplift his poverty-stricken community.  “Stand Alone,” a political suspense thriller, features Monroe as London Jackson, risking his life for you while on the run from the government.  His third film “Santana Bishop” is a sexy sci-fi thriller detailing California’s drug-trafficking world of hot women and fast money with Monroe as the Secret Service’s most powerful weapon.

Growing up immersed in the athletic world as a high school basketball star and his father playing for the St. Louis Rams, Monroe felt he was destined for something different. Monroe started out on the runway, with designers draping his 6’3 frame in luxury clothing lines, then did hosting gigs with MTV and Playboy. This one of a kind personality was ready to take it to the next level.
