Megan Mullally, Clueless?Starz will “Party Down”

With Lynch gone, Megan Mullally has stepped into the cast, acting as a recent transplant to Hollywood who came from the Midwest with her daughter, Escapade, so she could become a star. Her character is naïve and somewhat clueless. When Jane Lynch returns for the season finale, the two characters interact and the chemistry is obvious. Adam Scott describes it saying, “watching them do a scene together, everyone on the set, extras, crew – everybody just sort of took a step back when we realized that we had these two titans of comedy together in the same shot, being absolutely brilliant.”

Premiering Friday, April 23^rd at 10pm, Starz presents “Party Down”, returning after the cliffhanger finale that left many unanswered questions. The original cast is back, starring Ken Marino, Adam Scott, Martin Starr, Lizzy Caplan and Veronica Mars. Jane Lynch is committed to Fox’s “Glee” for another full season but they will bring her character back for a few episodes this year.

This season we find everyone’s lives all scrambled up. Adam’s character, Henry, has been promoted to team leader while he’s trying to get his life together, but according to Adam, managing others and keeping all of his balls in the air are not really his strong suit. Long-haired Ken as Ron comes back from a successful run at the Souper Crackers franchise but it has gone out business and Lizzy is back from being a cruise comedian.

While all of the characters continue to be all dressed up and going nowhere, there are whacky parties to cater! There will be crazy and enjoyable guest appearances from Steve Guttenberg, Christopher Mintz Plasse, Joey Lauren Adams, J.K. Simmons and Kristen Bell.
