Lloyd Klein fall fashions

-“The words that describe my jewelry are inviduality- elegance- beauty  and allure .My pieces are made for both day and evening wear”

“The new line is between fine and costume jewely, and the pieces come from all-around-the world” – Some stones that I found come from Middle East, Germany, India and Russia. Other pieces from US, Italy and China.”

Couturier Lloyd Klein has initially training in architecture, which also reflects in his designs and drawing of clothes.                                                                                    After a three year contract as a head designer for Maison Madame Gres in Paris, Lloyd came to New York in 1999. He opened up his Lloyd Klein “baroque castle”7.000 sq ft. Flagshipstore in 2004. Lloyd says about his collection:

-“I see it this way, once you know how to built a building, you also know how to built a garment”  The famous French architect Courtigier inspired me for my fall/winter 2010 collection”.

“We are a full Couture House, so we do everything from wool to silk-evening gowns to daywear”

“It was difficult for me,  to come to Hollywood from Paris in the beginning, because Hollywood was all about evening wear”.

“In Paris you want to spend the same amount of money on daywear from a good designer, and there is demand for it ”

Lauren Elaine Design and her new autumn 2010 Collection “Black Label “ belonged to  Los Angeles Fashionweek closing shows.

It turned out to be  a combination rockshow & fashionshow  at Keyclub with performances  by  Kayslee Collins, Stella Rossa and headliner Darling Stilettos, presented by Guns n’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum.

The evening was benefiting the Clearity Foundation and Ovarian Cancer Research.

Lauren Elaine admits that the inspiration for this collection comes from “Little Red Riding Hood – not so innocent”. She says:

-“I wanted to make this line fun, different -  towards the dark side, complete opposite what I normally do, which is feminine and girlie”

-“I love colors, but for next season I want to tame it down with prints, and use more strong solid colors as red, green and turquoise”

Elaine is  best known for her gowns and cocktail dresses, but is there chance for a mens line in the near future?

-“Not right know or near future, because I love making stuff I can wear. It may sound selfish, but that’s how I feel now”

“Silk is the my favorite material for the moment, together with silk chiffon, metallics, brocade and lace”

The “Black Label”  Autumn 2010 will be out in stores by the end of the summer.
