HOLLYWOOD,CA (Hollywood Today) 3/14/10 – Johnny Depp is as mad a box office draw as ever, even as part of an ensemble cast as Alice in Wonderland. It far-out-distanced newcomers ‘Green Zone,’ ‘She’s Out of My League,’ ‘Remember Me,’ ‘Our Family Wedding’ as well as the Oscar winners which usually have a big spike after the Academy Awards.

Alice answered with another $62 million for a $209 cume gross, more in a week than any three other 2010 films. Lewis’ drug-addled tale has never been as popular since the book came out (as much a political commentary of the times)

Matt Damon’s Green Zone saw a little green with $15 million over its opening weekend.
