HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 3/8/10 Hollywood today was invited to attend the new Tikkun Holistic Spa Pre Oscar pampering party at the 1460 4th steet Santa Monica location. A green tea jacuzzi and infrared sauna rooms awaited the actors and celebrities including Jamie Hilfiger, digital technologist and producer director Erick Hansen, producer Marco Derhey, Angelina Morgine and others from Hollywood Today. There were spa parties everywhere and the test pilot of the new show Grand Spas of The World shot its first with Jamie Hilfiger as the show host.
There were over seventy birthday parties happening simultaneously at Spa Pre Oscar parties all over Los Angeles. At Tikkun Spa, models were getting ready for the Oscars with treatments incorporating aromatherapy oils such as peppermint which is used to help enhance memory and is thus useful for remembering lines for award ceremonies and scripts.
Dr. Charles Schwarz, an orthopedic surgeon and his wife Niki Han Schwarz own Tikkun Holistic Spa, a gorgeous haven nestled away from the world specializing in detoxifying, beautifying and revitalizing treatments for the mind, body and spirit. Dr. Schwarz was on hand to explain specialized product formulas created to keep high profile clients detoxified, healthy and mentally fit. Clients were able to choose from therapeutic massage offerings including Shiatsu, Deep Tissue, Cranial Sacral, Sports massage, Thai and Acupressure, as well as traditional Korean body scrubs, volcanic clay, cellulite and specialized journey body treatments, Jade Stone massage and signature facials, not to mention a few other amazing rare treatments such as facial acupuncture which reportedly works as a natural face lift, and Chi Nei Tsang internal organ massage for detoxification and emotional digestion. Jamie tried the CNT treatment with practitioner Arianna Gouveia and loved the results. One of the only spas in Los Angeles to offer this unique belly massage, Chi Nei Tsang is an ancient energy work therapy of Taoist origin which addresses tension, nervousness, digestive issues and many others. A perfect pre-Oscar therapy.
After treatments, the choices of healing far infrared saunas include the jade room with a charcoal encrusted ceiling which has been shown to increase circulation and release toxins from the body, the yellow Korean Hwanglto clay and charcoal room which boosts the immune system and detoxification process, and the salt room cave constructed of illuminated pink Himalayan salt brinks which produce negative ions, much like being near the ocean which is said to help purify the lungs, reduce inflammation and counter depression. The salt room was one of my favorites as it feels wonderfully soothing and clearing. Himalayan salts are mined from ancient sea bed caves and contain around 72 beneficial minerals. Tikkun Spa also provides a beautiful quartz crystal ice room recommended for cooling down and stimulating blood circulation between sauna rooms.
Tikkun spa also enlists the services of a physician, acupuncturist, a nutritionist, chiropractor and physical therapist to provide spa clients with a balanced multi-disciplinary approach to healing and wellness. Call Tikkun to book your spa parties and private sessions at 310-319-1111 and check out the website for service offerings.

Sounds like a lot of fun if you ask me. Would be a great trend to see taking place before all the big events and even the small ones
Those salt cave treatments are sounding more and more cool every time I read about them.
