BEVERLY HILLS (Hollywood Today) 2/26/10 –This week at the Beverly Hills Hotel, classic Hollywood icon Norby Walters and suite producer Anita Talbert held an

Annual Pre-Oscar Gift Suite of 100 Stars.

“This was the first-ever suite of its kind at the Beverly Hills Hotel and raised the bar in calibre, luxury and bonafide stars for a gifting suite,” said Talbert.

“This event is a prelude to Walters’ annual Night of 100 Stars Oscar Party,” said Edward Lozzi of Edward Lozzi & Associates. Norby Walters’ gala on Oscar night is arguably one of the hottest Academy Awards event tickets in Los Angeles.

“This event sets the tone of fun and good times during Oscar season, because most of the celebs there will be at our Night of 100 Stars Party,” commented Walters, “It’s the beginning of a grand period of time.”

Guests were a mix of young Hollywood and established established industry celebs, including William Shatner, Natalie Cole, Martin Landau, Charlene Tilton, Sofia Milos, John Schneider, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Lou Ferrigno, Lou Diamond Philips, Dee Wallace, Vail Bloom and many others.

Walters and associate Edward Lozzi were present to welcome a steady stream of glamorous attendees to the red carpet and suite. However, a host of designers and hot new brands were truly the stars of the event.

Perhaps our favorite gift was the YooStar, a studio in a box. It’s basically an advanced camera that hooks up to your laptop or desktop and a green screen so you can put yourself in a number of famous films like “The Godfather.”  It was tricky to hook up, yet here at Hollywood Today we are going to attempt to broadcast live news reports on Facebook, Youtube, etc. using the YooStar system in time for the Oscars.

Presenting Sponsor Pevonia Botanica, the elite, eco-friendly skincare line, offered a posh spa oasis complete with rich Caviar and luscious Tropicale hand treatments to get all VIP attendees “red carpet ready,” fully-loaded personalized skincare gift bags, and a tranquil spa retreat area for celebs to relax and enjoy the Pevonia spa experience.

For vegan celebs, Cherry Berry craftsmen selected the finest genuine vegan leathers and pleathers from their sumptuous handbag collections. Debuting their spring line of bags and purses, Cherry Berry proved that the quality of materials they are using is virtually undetectable in comparison to leather and is sure to be a global hit with animal-friendly celebs and fans alike.

Another huge hit was Kim Kardashian’s company, Shoe Dazzle, which is the premier online shoe membership society that includes personalized stylist recommendations and a gorgeous pair of shoes every month – and their booth definitely put their best foot forward, living up to the company’s reputation. In addition to hot new designs that celebs stood in line for, Shoe Dazzle has innovative initiatives for charity support. The company made the announcement that their celebrity-designed lines will support non-profits and debut later this year.

Also in high demand were designer Leslie Belcher’s Accessoreez, a line of gorgeous, “hot fired” borosillicate glass masterpieces. Handcrafted with natural accent elements, fresh water pearls, garnet, black onyx, turquoise, sterling silver, bronze, and jade, each creation is stunningly beautiful. Leslie and her sister Shelly Harper create each wearable work of art by hand, making each piece truly unique; the personal approach of these artistes to each client makes for a truly enjoyable experience.

International eyewear Designer Daniel Oberti, owner of Just Look’n, the top design eyewear store in Miami, premiered a dazzling collection of 18 carat solid gold framed sunglasses embellished with VS1 diamonds. Oberti’s designs can make anyone look like a movie star, but plenty of celebs — including the dashing John Schneider — made Oberti’s booth a hotspot at the event.

Taber Studios’ collection features classically modern, hand-forged and sculpted jewelry in sterling silver and 14k gold wire, accented with diamonds, pearls, precious and semi-precious stones. Martin Taber debuted a new line of ecologically inspired haute-couture art jewelry, skillfully drawing upon his family’s heritage as jewelry designers and his own passion for the environment.

Charlie Lapson, stylist and designer to Hollywood’s elite, presented his new collection of hot, new clutches and purses. With his personable approach to each celeb, Lapson’s charisma was as eye-catching as his product, and it was evident that his star is rising on the design scene.

William Shatner beamed over to pick up a pair of LA Gear sneakers – it was fabulous to see him as we chatted with several of the designers and press. Stars were sparkling on the ground as well as in the suite with a cache of LA Lights by LA Gear sneakers in glowing hot colors – definitely the hippest, hottest sneakers on the planet.

Co-Sponsor Robinson Designer Goldsmith featured their line of unique, hand-crafted, custom-designed jewelry, and Beach Bunny Swimwear made a huge splash with styles ranging from fun and flirty to downright sultry and sexy.

Award-winning designer Debi Bodinus of D’Bodinus Eco-Luxury Collection inspires the fine art of Eco-Living and created a Luxury Living Lounge for the event, gifting celebs with sumptuously fragrant eco-candles.

Mignon Chocolate, chocolatier to the stars, introduced their newest limited edition luxury “M” Collection; delectable, rich & exotic, flavors include Ginger with Lime Sea Salt, Lavender, Cuban Mojito, Chili Pepper, Pomegranate, and Blueberry. Several stars made regular stops to the irresistible chocolatier during the course of the day.

Hai-Elite presented style and technology in hair beauty tools including state of the art digital tools, Hai Elite DiGistick styling iron, Halonic Dryers, Digital Curling Irons and more, blending function with hot design.

Veteran athletic designer Cristofer Smith’s Green Apple Active created and developed certified organic bamboo and cotton contemporary active-apparel with an incredibly luxurious, soft, silky finish. In addition to the arty, adorable designs Smith has created, the quality of Green Apple’s fabrics must be experienced to be believed, and one would be hard-pressed to ever again wear synthetics after donning Smith’s attire for yoga, casual or upscale events.

Outrageous, edgy rock n’roll best describes “Bejeweled” by renowned designer and fashion trendsetter Susan Fixel. These hip fashions are worn by celebs such as Beyonce Knowles, Jessica Alba, Denise Richards, Keisha Cole, Hayden Panatierre and Britney Spears, and the buzz on Fixel’s items was definitely circulating at the Suite of 100 Stars,

Stars were trying on Australian Designer Kelly Ann Swartz’ “Swartz Los Angeles” couture and ready to wear evening gowns, featuring luxurious laces and fabrics, hand embroidery, and Swarovski crystal beading. Her timeless silhouettes are sure to bring a touch of sheer opulence to upcoming Oscar events.

One must see it to believe it, but Yoostar the revolutionary entertainment system makes YOO the star of famous movie and TV scenes. Yoostar lets viewers film themselves right into hundreds of famous movie scenes, where one can perform with, or replace, the original actors. Its amazing, new technology was a huge hit at the event.
