Oscars 2010: La Boheme Sneek Peek Suite

HOLLYWOOD CA (Hollywood Today)  02/24/10 —  Hollywood Today got a sneak-peek preview of the gifts donated to VIPS, presenters and nominees of Oscar 2010.

Among the present were: Ed O’Neil, Joe Mantegna, Morgan Fairchild, William Shatner, Antonio Sabato, Lauren Velez, SAG President Ken Howard, Deidra Hall and Maria Concita Alonzo – just to mention a few.

Second Annual “Sneak Peek’ Oscar Suite was produced by Doris Bergman and Kathy Duliakas at Cafe La Boheme in West Hollywood.:

-”We call it “Sneak-Peek” because its the first suite showing before Oscar week”.

As everybody know the Oscar awards will be presented at the Kodak theatre in Hollywood, March 7th 2010”.

This years’ gifting suite was presented by CellCeuticals Skin Care and Timepiece watches by Jorg Gray.

Cafe La Boheme’s 5 -star executive chef, Christine Banta has a classical French background, but she is coming from half Japanese/American family.

On Banta’s menu you could find – brioche lobster rolls, wild mushroom tartlets, sesame chicken salad with tossed cashews and ginger vinaigrette, miso glazed salmon and sliced beef tenderloin.

The spirits to compliment the food were Blue Angel Premium Vodka and Vermeer Dutch Chocolate Cream Liquer.

For non – alcohol lovers the choices of beverages were Steaz zero calories sparkling tea and Aquamantra premium natural spring water..

Antonia’s Chocolate Gourmet Pecans: -“Our gourmet caramelized pecans come in three flavors, white, dark and milkchocolate” – and it’s a perfect gift for any occasion.

“Shoes for Africa” was this events’ charity, and guests were encouraged to donate a pair of new or worn shoes to the theashefoundation.org:

-”The shoes will be shipped in April to South Africa for a ‘Christmas in July’ distribution for the 2010 World Cup”

“We just returned from Ghana three weeks ago, and we brought 2000 pair of shoes, clothes and toys to needy children”

“The foundation is less than  2 years old, but we have completed three trips in one year so far: South Africa, Mosambique, and Ghana”

The shoe gifting companies on display were Capelta Boots by Monique, Sheiki shoes and Menbur European shoes & handbags.

Monique, designer of Capelta:

-“This is my first line,(pointing at a fury shoe)  and my second line, chain-boots comes out this fall. All shoes are made in Brazil, and the styles are made for rockstar and actors. Mila Tylers’ dad just ordered a pair”. Being a boot designer was originally a hobby, now it is turning into a carriere”.

Sheiki shoes:

-“We are based out of Ontario, but we supply to 110 stores around the country, for both women and men. The shoes are flats, sandals, boots and sneakers.

The collection we are showing and giving away for Oscars is the skyhigh “Reality Star” evening shoe, that also is affordable.

Menbur Shoes & handbags:

-“ We are based in Spain since 1967, but our shoes  sell in 85 continents. This Oscar season will be our US and Canada launch”

The line  of satin dress shoes and leather boots are considered classic”
