Going Gaga

HOLLYWOOD,CA(Hollywood Today)2/1/2010

William Morris / Endeavor threw an immaculately organized, decadent, friendly, glamorous Hollywood Grammy party.  Cars were parked on Sunset Blvd and guests were shuttled up to a palace in the hills owned by Rockstar Energy Drink founder, Russ Weiner.    (Prince had once rented out the mansion and had painted it entirely purple.  Mr. Weiner has since had it repainted.)

Lady Gaga was in the dance room in a silver shimmering Statue of Liberty body suit while ‘Poker Face’ pumped.  At this stage in the night the swell of models weren’t prepared to cut loose quite yet.  The dance floor was packed with very much just standing army of legs and stilettos.  Gaga could be seen bopping around and kept the buzz up with her celebrity.   When it was time to go security guards took each of her arms and carried her out.   Many hoping they would not lose an eye to her “torch” which looked like a medieval spiked ball.

Dave Navarro seemed to be having a great time, passionately making out with his girlfriend and being a buzzer.  He chatted away to people and projected a positive fun loving vibe.  He found himself later in the night jonzing for a waffle.

I’m pretty sure I found a porthole to another dimension in the left pupil of Scott Weiland’s eye but maybe it wasn’t even him.   Maybe just maybe it was a look alike. I got lost in this guys pupil I couldn’t verify his face.   Plus, I had respectfully looked quickly away from the strong energy only because I was being chasséd’ thru the crowd, there was no time or space for porthole’s at this party.  It was officially over crowded at 11pm.

Paris Hilton stopped in with her parents and looked rather lovely and gracious.  It was nice to see her out with family and behaving like a lady.  It gave me a warm feeling about her, like ‘aw, she’s a nice ole person”.  Then again did I mention the open bar?  Open bars can make many possible warm fuzzy feelings.

Mini burgers, french fries, shrimps served and champagne topped up.  Sneaky kegs and cups could be found in corners.  Pink’s Hotdogs had a serving station and let me not forget the dreamboat who made me aware that breakfast was being served downstairs; waffles, eggs, sausages and fruit.  My dear man that sounded beautiful but I was far too busy with my shots of Cabo, glass of champagne and plastic beer cup to think of food.

On my way out I saw two members of Glasvegas, my most favorite newer music.  Hailing from Scotland, cousins James and Rab Allan are in LA recording their second record with producer Rich Costey (Franz Ferdinand, The Mars Volta, Doves,  Supergrass, Rage Against the Machine, Nine Inch Nails, Weezer, and Fiona Apple to name a few).   They looked ah so black and white in the colorful environment, like static on an early TV set amongst tulips.

Alas, the warm fuzzy open bar whispered in my ear to go.  This crowded palace of lookers were there to “see and be seen” and by golly I did it.  I left not a shoe behind, and away we went.   Thank you to my partner in crime Natalie Fiteni and Francis at LA Models for the invite and to the handsome man who pointed out I was sitting next to keg when I needed it most.
