Gina Lynn and other porn stars signed autographs at Adult Entertainment Expo
HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 1/20/2010 – They came. They saw. They got photos signed. Fans line up to have photos signed by their favorite porn stars, such as Gina Lynn. There’s a long line to meet and greet crowd favorite Belladonna.
Attendance at this year’s AVN, the Adult Entertainment Expo, January 7-10 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center was over 22,000 according to show organizers, a 10% increase over last year.
Evan Stone has been in more than 700 movies since 1997. “Some of the movies are shot in one day, others take two,” says Stone who is starting his own network to launch in April.
“Mother was proud and told everyone, ‘my son makes movies that people enjoy,’”, says porn director Alexander DeVoe, who’s received 18 nominations for the Adult Entertainment Awards.
The adult video industry has always faced legal challenges. “Piracy is a huge problem in the industry,” says Free Speech Coalition board member Gill Sperlein, “and overbearing government regulations have hurt the industry as well.” Another issue is privacy, as tough laws passed to prevent minors starring in porn films by requiring porn producers to fully disclose information about film casts have made the home addresses of porn actors public information.
The convention floor offers other things than a chance to mingle with porn stars. Vendors show their wares. Designer Wear For Down There offers little outfits to dress your little man. At the Screaming O booth is the Fun Finger Vibe, designed to “give boring sex the finger.”
The next AVN Adult Entertainment Expo will be held January 6th to 9th, 2011, at the Sands Expo and Convention Center.
