The National Association Music Manufactures 40th Anniversary convention

HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 1/19/2010 – The All- Industry March Band some 400 piece strong were standing inside the Anaheim Convention center. Strike- UP the band, Mr. Musicman himself leading the band, with “The Cookie Monster” from Sesame Street with that “ Q” fired up Michael Jackson’s Thriller to open NAMM 2010 Show “Get Ready”.
The National Association Music Manufactures 40th Anniversary (NAMM) the music industries/Trade Only show, showcasing new audio technologies, instruments of all shapes and sizes, audio, handheld video/audio systems, sound editing software, has official open.
NAMM featured many artists on stages inside throughout the convention center and outside with The John Lennon Bus stage, this year Yoko and Quincy Jones have united their quest to keep music in schools and help promote the art of music and the opportunities that music offers, and the long range benefits for children in music.
The Quincy Jones Musiq Consortium was formed to united leaders in music education, the music industry, corporations, foundation and philanthropists to help the children by supporting music in their life’s,.
Mr. Q and The Cookie Monster both leading the charge for the development of programs that are keeping music in the schools and promoting music through their non-profit organizations this is the theme of the opening of 2010 NAMM Show
“Get Ready”. “Wanna Play?” Robert Downey Jr. does he is the spokes person for NAMM’s music and arts programs in schools, helping to bring awareness of the power of music in the life’s of children
Get ready for changes in the music business with local and national cut in school musical programs; musical instrument sales were falling… The sales of instruments are key, old players giving back to encourage new student which become new consumers… no new students, no programs, no sales of new musical equipment, some of these student will make it their business, music production, players, repair, engineers or any of the many other production faucets that going into this major entertainment business.
NAMM is out to school and introduce students to music, especially small children to the power of music and musical training.
NAMM is a private industry show, showascasing musical instruments, drums, guitars, companies all have their rock, jazz star endorsees, each hoping to design and promote their products. Gibson has Slash, the top hat guitar player with a big following, he was there displaying his new signature guitar, Gibson is hoping that Slash’s guitar is a cut above the rest and can increase sales for their guitar lines.
The independent instrument makers are hoping to get a share of the market, Bunny Brunel Jazz Fusion Bass player/ designer of his new Signature Electric Upright Bass.
Each hand made by masters wood cravers of Indonesian from the island of Java; the wood has been polished to a rich luster with a warm and forceful sound.
Bunny was holding court with two sidemen; the groove was spellbinding, creating the “Hot NAMM JAZZ” club right before your eyes, that’s the power of music.
Just walking around the NAMM floor you could discover many national, local, and unsigned artists, SweetTooth two brothers Bronson and Preston 15 and 13 years old, players behind their years, they write, compose and play their own music, their mother tells HollywoodToday.
They made the trip from Wisconsin they were performing on the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, CA, discovered there and now at the NAMM show performing with Cordoba Guitars. “These brothers are amazing” this is our future for music and the sales of musical instruments” said Frank Serafine who had just released his new signature Mojave audio microphone along with Sonic Reality’s Serafine’s FX Tron series of plug in audio effects library.
Most all major stars all get their own special designed endorsee equipment, drum, microphones, ; they get to design guitars which are pieces of art, craved from woods that are so rare that they are protect, instruments inlayed with mother of pearl, also other exotic shells and inlays are available.
NAMM, The Music Manufacture sales have dropped off each manufacture have signed Stars that are used to hopeful drive up sales for their brand. “Get Ready” is this years theme, this is a business first driven by sale and the Love of Music.
NAMM has joint forces with many non-profit foundations, helping to educate and promote music in the schools and after class programs on local and national stages.
The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus that has been on the road for many years, putting together their out reach educational music labs in schools across the US, including special concerts with featured recording artist like Andrae Crouch, Fishbone, School of Rock Allstars, including additional local talent mixed in.
The mobile studio offers hands on training with live recording session, HD video production including full editing and audio mixing, with live interviews, all this inside their non-profit mobile studio traveling music experiences.

The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus is a non-profit 501(c)(3) mobile audio and HD video recording and production facility. Since 1998, the Bus has provided free hands-on programs to hundreds of high schools, colleges, Boys and Girls Clubs, music festivals, concerts, conventions and community organizations. Working together with some of the biggest names in music, the Lennon Bus encourages students to play music, write songs, engineer recording sessions and produce video projects using the latest audio, video, and live sound equipment.
