Most sought cast ever – Entire New Moon ensemble takes 5 of the top 5 and No 10 on IMBD STARmeter

Taylor Lautner now lead dog on New Moon horizon
HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 11/27/2009 – In two surprising “Twilight: New Moon” developments, wolfman Taylor Lautner beat fellow Moonies like vamp Rob Pattinson and femme fatale Kristen Stewart – as well as Dakota Fanning and Ashley Greene on the IMDB.com STARMeter.
Lautner besting Pattinson for No. 1 star may raise some fur with the vampire hunk’s legions of fans, yet Lautner was a focus of Twilight II. What really bared the film saga’s fangs was that the entire cast was Nos. 1-5 on the IMBD STARmeter rankings this week – a feat never done before, even with star-heavy casts like “The Departed” or “Ocean’s 11-13.”
“This is a demographic-harmonic convergence, notes Hollywood Today senior editor and film analyst Gayl Murphy. “This is the feast that the marketing wolves have been looking for. The alignment of all the ‘new moons’ – a perfect storm for the studios. The marriage between marketing and the Internet, this is the paradigm that every business will try to emulate.”
STARmeter provides rankings for the who’s who of actors based on the searches of millions of IMBD users. Never before have we seen a movie take five of the top five, not even one with an all-star casts. Plus “New Moon’s” Nikki Reed was in the Top 10 as well.
Robert Pattinson, and Kristen Stewart were battling for the number one spot the last couple of weeks until the 17 year old, Taylor Lautner, jumped two spots take hold of the number one. 23 year old sensation Pattinson looks to have some healthy competition from the likes of Lautner. The oppressed and conflicted Edward Cullen (Pattinson), clearly could not compete with the astonishingly fit and proactive Jacob Black (Lautner) as the teen heartthrob in New Moon. Could Pattinson’s reign as the hottest young actor in Hollywood be in jeopardy? Lautner and Pattinson have been battling for young girls hearts since the opening of new moon and it appears as though Lautner is in the lead.
Twilight III aka “Eclipse” will see the two go head to head on the big screen as both battle for Stewart’s attention.
Never before have we seen these results from one movie and it appears as though three mega stars have been born. The question now is which one the three stars will be able to retain the number one spot – Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart or Robert Pattinson?
Johhny Depp, Gerard Butler and John Cusack, respectably sixth seventh and eight, were also in the Top 10, decided by how many searches for a name went through IMDB’s million of searches.
Depp, who has been a leader of the pack this year, frequently reaching number one and continually being in the top five, could have his perennial number one spot in jeopardy. The three rising stars from New Moon may not have resumes that match up with the Depp’s and Butler’s of the movie industry but they are quickly making a name for themselves as some of the most popular movie stars in the world.

I may be old enough to be their mother or grandmother, I still like looking at both Rob and Taylor, I am a big fan of the twilight movies and of the books, as well and can not wait for Eclipse to open in June.

I recently read the Twilight Series after seeing the movie Twilight early this year. (Yes, I am a bit behind…!) I am looking forward to the movie New Moon, and by seeing the trailers and guest appearances by Taylor Lautner I can see why he has jumped to number 1!

newmoon is the BEST movie i have seen in all my life. i decorated my wall with pictures of all the characters. jacob aka “taylor lautner” is so so so so so so HOT!!!!!!!!!!

Robert if it is no difficult can you impart experience and tell to me how completely to get used to the role? You have many different roles which aren’t similar against each other. Jacob is cute but Edward(akaRob) is HOT!!!!! I ‘ve seen the movie 3 times and will see it again. Love it! Rob is still no. 1 in my book.
