From cakes and speakers to lotions, GBK let the dogs out at AMA gifting suite

HOLLYWOOD CA (Hollywood Today) 11/23/09 — American Music Awards pampering & gifting suites for presenters,nominees and VIPs were few this year, but the biggest one was GBK located at EVO-South’s 3500 square feet condo, steps away from Nokia Theatre.
GBK was formed in 2000 by CEO Gavin B. Kelly, and he has ever since been specializing in entertainment marketing integration and luxury lifestyle gifting for the biggest award shows.
EVO-South condo’s rooftop retreats are ready for sale, and featuring spaces so big to fit in a mini HIREKO GOLF course with PowerPlay Caiman Golf Club Drivers for men and Swarovski crystal laden iBella Putters for women.
DJ Shy from Myspace was spinning the tunes to this lounge while co-designers LA Modern Living, and Organicstyle.com were providing eco-friendly organic flowers and stylish LA home environment.
Gourmet highlights included samples of Hansen Cakes, Debrand Fine Chocolate and Garden Of Eating cuisine.
Hansen Cakes displayed electric guitar size cakes to fit in to American Music Award’s Rock’n Roll Theme.
CellCeuticals Biomedical Skin Treatments was new to awards guests at last season awards suites, and for this season is introducing a new Photo Defense skin protector with a whopping SPF sunfactor of 55+.
About the only thing with a higher SPF level is a roof.
Well-known plastic surgeon Garth Fisher (a founder of TV hit “Extreme Makeover”) introduced the new product with the slogan “only a plastic surgeon can do more – one cell at a time.”
The product will be on the market for Christmas and contains the patent pending Photoplex, which provides extreme anti-aging protection against daily UVA and UVB sun exposure and oxidative stress.
GBK’s presenting sponsor HARD CANDY is one of Sephora’s most selling brands.They were providing their latest glittery holiday products and make-up and manicures sessions to their guests.

HARD CANDY representative explained:- “Its all about glitter this season and it can be everything from glittermascara, eyeliner, lipsticks and their new Just Nails polishes. She continues : “Best of all – its cheap, most products goes for around six dollars, so when you get bored of one color just threw it away”
RevitaLash by Athena cosmetics is known for their long running commercials in tv, was introducing a new hair conditioner and eyelash mascara product. :
“These products were originally made for cancer patients and they are 100 % safe to use - a portion of the proceed goes to breast cancer research. To be able to see results of eyelash growth you must use the product once a day for six weeks” said the RevitaLash representative. “To grow thicker fuller hair, the client must leave in the product in the scalp after every schampoo. They will see results in two to eight weeks, depending on hair growth speed”.
T-shirts & sweaterlines by Michael Stars and The Sampler were competing of attention with temporary washed shirts with unusual trims by Arnold Zimberg, at this American Music Award Lounge.
Glamourkills.com was a newcomer from New York, flying in from the East coast to launch a pop-culture & graphic line of hoodies , t-shirts, bathingsuites and jeans, soon to be seen in Los Angeles. Most garments are 100 % cotton and combine a rock’n roll edge with chic modernism. Andrey Hepburn glam T-shirts are one of the bestsellers among the female department.
Bagdesigner Emilie Sloan also travelled from hometown Seattle to introduce a new kind of cotton laminated shopping tote. She explained to guests “My flowered print bags look like they are made of textile unless you look up close and feel the material.” They are made for the outdoor with a laminated rainproof exterior that stays clean and dry when weather is bad and the beach sand gets wet.
GBK Suites is known since last MTV awards season to represent new invention & idees.
Mercury Innovations was one of them, introducing a new toy for adults, the M & M speakers.
They are eco-boom box speakers, made from recycled material, plug in and play, no batteries required.
The eco-speakers fold for convient storage and can be used as mixing and spinning any two MP3 music sources.
Cheaper speakers are hard to find, only fifteen dollars, and you support an eco- friendly cause.

Thank you for the mention in your article however we’d like to clarify that Hard Candy is offered exclusively at Walmart. Additionally, the lower price points encourage people to experiment with the collection – not throw anything away.
