Pop star jokes about Kanye West, Joe Jonas and Taylor Lautner

NEW YORK (Hollywood Today) 11/8/09 – As expected, Taylor Swift made the obligatory mention of her recent run-in with rapper Kanye West during her “Saturday Night Live” monologue last night and even poked fun at ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas and her purported relationship with “Twilight” star Taylor Lautner.

“You might think that I’d bring up Joe—that guy who broke up with me on the phone, but I’m not gonna mention him in my monologue,” Swift sang, strumming her guitar during what she called “The Monologue Song (La La La).” “Hey, Joe, I’m doing real well; tonight I’m hosting ‘SNL,’ but I’m not gonna brag about that in my monologue.”

Jonas, 20, is the second-oldest member of Disney pop trio the Jonas Brothers and dated Swift, 19, last year. Since the pair’s breakup, Swift has admitted to basing her song “Forever & Always” on their relationship.

“You might be excepting me to say something bad about Kanye and how he ran up on the stage and ruined my VMA monologue,” Swift crooned, referring to the September incident at MTV’s Video Music Awards, which were also held in New York. “But, there’s nothing more to say, ‘cause everything’s O.K. I’ve got security lining the stage; it’s my ‘SNL’ monologue.”

West made headlines when he grabbed the microphone from Swift during her VMA acceptance speech and insisted that R&B singer Beyoncé should have been given the honor instead. Beyoncé later allowed Swift to reattempt her speech after accepting an award of her own.

During Saturday night’s song, Swift refused to comment on romantic rumors surrounding her and Lautner, 17, but winked, blew a kiss and mouthed the actor’s name jokingly. She also told the audience how she enjoyed publicly shaming “douchebags who cheat on me” by inserting their names into her songs.

Other highlights of the night included Swift’s impersonation of TLC reality TV star Kate Gosselin and a “Twilight” spoof where vampires and werewolves were replaced with Frankenstein monsters and undead mummies. The golden-haired songstress carried the entire show, acting as both host and musical guest.
