Jensen Button's Mercedes Benz-powered Brawn GP
HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 10/19/2009 – British driver, Jensen Button drove his Mercedes Benz powered Brawn GP car to a 5th place finish at the Brazilian Grand Prix in Sao Paolo today, and with that took this year’s World Driving Championship title. Germany’s Sebastian Vettel, and Brawn team mate, Brazilian driver, Rubens Barichello would have needed to win today’s race to remain in contention for the championship. Unfortunately, the win went to Aussie, Mark Webber, who won his second grand prix of the year in his Red Bull sponsored car.
The first lap of the race saw two separate incidents before the field had a chance to complete one lap. Toyota’s Yarno Trulli and two time World Champion, Fernando Alonso were just two of the crash victims whose day came to a sudden halt. Most of the race went on without incident until Kaz Nakajima crashed out right after his Williams-Toyota team mate, Nico Rosberg’s transmission grenaded, ending his race. The podium saw Webber in the center with Robert Kubica finishing in 2nd , and last year’s World Champion, Lewis Hamilton in 3rd.
Both Button and Barichello ran a strong and well driven race, which not only gave Button the driver’s championship, but also gave the Brawn GP team the constructor’s championship on their very first year as a team. There’s still the last grand prix of the year in Abu Dhabi, in two weeks, that will determine who will finish the season behind Button…either 21 year old Sebastian Vettel, or 37 year old Rubens Barichello

It’s “Britain,” “Jenson”, and “Jarno.” I can forgive the spelling of Trulli’s name, but you should have the world champion’s name and country spelled correctly.
@Russ: Kubica should be getting a drive with Renault next season, since Alonso is leaving for Ferrari.
