Amazing. I was deeply moved as I saw the changed looks of jugdes and audience alike. How her mother must have loved hearing her sing her wonderful support gave Susan the courge to “go for it”. The world is privileged to have this exquiste voice. What a challenge for others to follow. God bless you Susan!

I was also moved to tears by her powerful and sensitive perfomance. I noticed that there were nay-sayers who believe her voice is average and it was only the shock of undermined expectations that Susan has been riding on. The song she chose reminds me her life. I saw Les Miz on stag 5 times and Susans interpretation is best yet

Dear Melanie,
It may seem degrading to you that Susan Boyle is a virgin, but she is the one who pointed the facts out on UK National TV. Obviously, it’s a part of her story that she wanted to be told and that’s why it is a part of the overall story. Also, it’s how we attract readers to our stories. Sadly, that is just the way it is. I think that the story has a very positive tone and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Why does this story have to be led with the degrading headline of Virgin who has never been kissed, Etc. She has put many people where they should be with her voice alone. Why the attempt to degrade her. Can we not, for once, follow her lead of something dignified and simply beautiful?

It wasn’t until I played the CBS clip for the second time that I realized she was singing without instrumental accompaniment.

That voice alone, that force of nature, carried the song unassisted.
