Could Secretary of State Clinton run against Palin in 2012?

Op-ed By Jody Babydol Gibson

Could Clinton and Palin face off for presidency?

Could Clinton and Palin face off for presidency?

HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 12/2/08 — During the primaries Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin gave a stellar performance proving that she was a strong adversary as well as an excellent orator. Hillary Clinton, named Secretary of State-elect, who had campaigned so hard and so well attempting to face her destiny in history as the first woman to run for president of the United States was clearly blind-sided by this ill-fated curve ball. It seemed that perhaps fate had other plans for Hillary Clinton and that after all those 18 million supporters rallied behind her she might not end up to be elected President after all. We began to ponder about not only what might have been but what possibly could be…

Now it seems Hillary once again has the last laugh as she takes office in the most powerful position for office as Secretary of State for President-Elect Barack Obama’s administration. How difficult it will be to run against the head of the party and her Boss, starting in the middle years of her run as SOS, is a conundrum.

The interesting question now is will Hillary then run for President in 2012? And will this mean that she might then run against Sarah Palin who also has her sights set on the Presidential eight ball? This would mean that we would have two women running for President of the United States against each other and what an entertaining if not fascinating election that would be! Especially since both women are equal adversaries in both tenacity and spirit as well as support from the American people!

Clearly, if the Democrats rise to the occasion of rescuing our economic conundrums this would surely add to Hillary’s popularity and she might very well find herself the first female elected as President; however, if some unforeseen course of events should transpire exacerbating our economic woes further or worse, find ourselves in another possible altercation with one of the many religious extremists campaigning for our demise- clearly this would open up the gateway for the Republicans in the next administration as those who questioned the Democrats and their socialist spending said “I told you so.”

A plausible theory that could very well come to pass as truth is always much stranger than fiction…

Very nice read. It’s great to see someone who knows exactly how good Governor Palin is.

I can’t see Senator Clinton running against Obama, from her office. I’m sure this is why Obama picked her.

Governor Palin will certainly come out swinging. One thing we know about her is she is as tough as they come, and doesn’t know the meaning of quit!

by 2012 Governor Palin will have nearly 20 years of chief executive experience.

And with her strong credentials on energy, she ran the agency that controls energy in Alaska, and is currently the Chairman of two other national energy commissions. Energy is a matter of national security, and Governor Palin gets it.

She also has strong Commander-in-Chief credentials, since her National Guard is the only one in the country that is on permanent deployment. They are manning the Alaska Air Defense Command. They are our first line of defense from Russia, North Korea, and China. Her troops opperate the missile defense systems, as well.

Governor Palin receives regular Homeland Security briefings, as well briefing from other intelligence agencies. She has a very high level security clearance. Something Senators like Obama and Biden would never get.

Governor Palin is a strong reformer, even forcing the leadership in her own party to resign over the corrupt, while she was at the AOGCC.

It was corruption that prompted her to unseat the sitting Republican governor, which she did in a landslide victory.

Couldn’t be more excited about 2012 if I tried.

Palin she has already proven to the American people that, in spite of her executive experience, she is just a another pretty face with nothing going on upstairs. She made a lasting impression during the 2008 campaign, unfortunately for her it was negative with the majority of voters. That will not change in 2012. Palin has already sealed her own fate. She’s an “outsider” and that’s where she will stay. Far, far away from the inside of the white house.

Gary, you are kidding right? I have been in the National Guard for 30 years and she has nothing to do with it. The title she holds means nothing. Do you really think she can lead troops with no education? I would love to see her debate Hillary. That would be the entertainment of the century. You need to read up on her real qualifications and how she really fumbles around running Alaska.

Someone should explain to little Jody what ‘primaries’ are - and then point out to her that Sarah Palin never fought in any primaries in her life (another thing she never did). Someone else should maybe explain to all those Palinbots in denial that Sarah Palin will never run for president - because that would mean fighting it out in the primaries, where a body must have a brain.

And she may not be screwing with Alaska for much longer, either. She had better have herself a merry little Christmas.

Hillary would never defeat Sarah Palin. She has already sold her soul to Obummer. People are now through with the Clintons, they had a chance but when they joined with Obummer they lost it.
Hollywood is a very small part of this country and no one pays any attention to them anyway.

Sarah has the brains, the experience and the values to lead this country. All that the 2008 campaign proved is that the liberal media are hopelessly biased against her, which is why no-one listens to them anymore. Sarah is indeed an “outsider”, which is why she will be President.
