HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 11/14/08 – The parent of any ‘tween can attest to the power Miley Cyrus has over the children of America, but does the pied piperess also have actor Stephen Baldwin under her blonde-wigged spell? Several media outlets have reported that the evangelical father tattooed the initials of Cyrus’ hit Disney Channel show, “Hannah Montana,” on his left shoulder.
According to New York’s Daily News, Baldwin got inked with the “H.M.” as part of a pact he entered with the young entertainer when they met at the White House in spring 2007. Apparently, Cyrus, 15, promised Baldwin, 42, a daughter-delighting guest shot on the sitcom if he agreed to the fleshy tribute.
Though Cyrus approved of Baldwin’s extreme measures when the two crossed paths once again at a Nashville, Tenn. book signing Monday, a rep for Disney told the newspaper there were no plans to include him in an upcoming episode.
A spokesman for Baldwin expressed his client’s expectation that the oral contract would be honored, telling the Daily News he kept his part of the bargain and was “still waiting for his cameo.”
Apparently, celebrity-guest invitations are a frequent occurrence when “Hannah Montana” is involved. Cyrus’ country singer father, Billy Ray, recently extended an invitation to U.S. President-Elect Barack Obama’s two daughters, and Cyrus told New York radio station Z100 last week that her dad even once invited a Mike Myers impersonator to appear on the show, mistaking him for the real “Austin Powers” funnyman. Some celebs that have already had guest shots include Larry David, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Brooke Shields.
