Singer reveals touring plans, delays legal case and may have sex tape

NEW YORK (Hollywood Today) 9/30/08 – Britney Spears apparently rewarded New York radio station Z100 for premiering her newest single, “Womanizer,” by dropping by the studio unannounced Monday and granting an exclusive interview, where she discussed her desire for a full-scale comeback, including a worldwide tour.
“Oh, definitely, next year,” Spears told host JJ Kincaid when asked if she planned to launch her first major tour since 2004’s “Onyx Hotel Tour,” a highly theatrical affair that was cut short due to a knee injury. She also confirmed the currently untitled series of performances would not be confined to the United States.
Another topic of conversation was Spears’ triple win at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 7, where the iconic entertainer took home Best Female Video, Best Pop Video and Video of the Year awards for “Piece of Me,” a single from her 2007 album, “Blackout.”
“It’s a cool video,” Spears told Kincaid, “but I think, by far, I’ve done videos that are way better, so I was really shocked that, you know, it got the award.”
Meanwhile, a lawyer for the pop singer filed legal papers in Los Angeles, requesting that the case involving Spears allegedly driving without a valid California driver’s license when she hit a parked car in 2007 be indefinitely postponed. Attorney Michael Flanagan wrote that since Spears is still under the conservatorship of her father, she is essentially incompetent to stand trial.
And, as if Spears weren’t under enough pressure, Adnan Ghalib, a paparazzo whom she recently dated, claimed via an interview in Heat magazine that he was sitting on a sex tape of himself and his famous ex, which he was willing to sell under the right circumstances. He also told the publication the explicit footage would be the only thing related to Spears that he would be willing to reveal publicly.
Spears’ latest full-length album, “Circus,” is due out on Dec. 2. She finished recording the album in Las Vegas approximately two weeks ago and worked with several notable producers, including Rodney Jerkins and Max Martin.

Is Britney deserving of this chance?

what’s happening to her career has nothing to do with her personal life, if her song is doing great after just a few days on the air is because people care about her music and dont pay attention to the media version of hers.
as much as some people hate to understand, Britney’s actually a great pop performer in despite of the circus that surrounds her, i mean, it’s been 10 years now since she started as a pop singer and every year people said she wouldnt last.

I like Ms Spears. I think she is
a Very good singer. It is tragic
that she has had so mush bad publicity in recent years. As for me the jury is still out
wither or not I believe all that
has been said happened in her personal life. I remember when she first appeared as a singer from the Mickey Mouse club days. She was a real sweet young lady. I never imagined she would windup with the image she has had in years recent. I do hope she can pull
her life together with this up coming tour, and I wish her all the best.
