HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 9/21/08 – ’30 Rock’ wins for Best Comedy Series, while stars Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin won Emmys for outstanding lead actress and actor in a comedy. Fey also won for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series.
“This is the greatest job I’ve ever had,” said Baldwin. It was a triumphant rebound for the actor who had contemplated suicide after an embarrassing private phone message scolding his daughter was made public on the Internet.
Tina Fey said that her husband often advised her, when stuck what to do on ’30 Rock’, to just act like Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Louis-Dreyfus was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress for ‘The New Adventures of Old Christine.” “That’s really working out for me!” joked Fey to Louis-Dreyfus in the audience, who’d just lost to Fey.
“I thank my parents for somehow raising me to have confidence that is disproportionate with my looks and abilities,” said Fey. “Well done. That is what all parents should do.” However, the talented Fey, wearing a little black dress, was had no shortage in looks or wit at the Emmy Awards.
