Spears Lets Magazine into Her Life

HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 8/14/08 – Eager to show off her current family life in the wake of her improved public behavior, successful TV appearances and beneficial child custody arrangements, Britney Spears posed with her two boys for the cover of OK! magazine, which hit newsstands Thursday.

The front of the issue pictured Spears holding Jayden James, 1, under her left arm and holding onto Sean Preston, 2, with her right.  The “Break the Ice” singer wore a white sundress for the snapshot, while her sons wore white suits and pants, as well as dark-colored fedoras.

In an interview accompanying the familial photo shoot (more pictures were included inside the issue), Spears expressed her initial shock over sister Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy and subsequent birth of her niece, Maddie, on June 19.

“She’s always been the baby, and now the baby was having a baby,” Spears told OK!  “It was mind-boggling.”

Spears also expressed her growing closeness with her parents, divorcees James and Lynne, who were once estranged from their megastar daughter.  James became the co-conservator of the 26-year-old entertainer’s estate on Jan. 31, following Spears’ two highly publicized hospitalizations for psychiatric observation.

OK! magazine is no stranger to the Spears’ family, having published an interview with sister Jamie Lynn in December, announcing her pregnancy at age 16.  The publication allegedly paid $1 million for the first baby photos, published in July.
