TV reality beauties come to Cannes 2008 with first movie By Viola Stephens
HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 5/22/08 — Celebrating with Revlon’s boss Robert Perlman on his yacht and being the honoree guests of Las Vegas hotel mogul Steve Wynn amongst other things is clearly an achievement not many women will enjoy during this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Except when you are as rich, beautiful, multi-talented and, yes, intelligent – maybe not in this order – as the five “Luxurious Beverly Hills Ladies”.
Now these stunning real life girlfriends will film amongst Hollywood’s A-List stars and present their first movie “Weather Girls”. Their first comedy movie, a spoofy look behind the scenes of the weather presenters, will screen at the Palace de Festivals on May 19th.
The group of special girls include Brittan Taylor, actress, model and donor of the famed Disney Concert Hall, Lynne Langdon, actress, producer and wife of legendary photographer Harry Langdon, Simona Fusco Stratten, actress and international cover model (Beerfest, American Summer and Shark), Donna Spangler, author of “The Princess Formula: How to Get a Rich Man” and actress (Blades of Glory), and Jill St. Marks- actress/ fashion model.
Known to Germany’s television audience as “The Luxurious Beverly Hills Ladies”, ProSieben first profiled the glamorous ladies and their lifestyle in a highly watched entertainment segment for Oscar week in 2007. Inspired by great ratings, ProSieben ordered additional episodes to be aired on the TAFF SHOW, one of Germanys most popular entertainment news magazines.
” From red carpet events, political soirees and charity functions to banal beauty treatments and extravagant shopping excursions, we show how much work is behind getting glamorous”, said Donna Spangler. “In addition we deal with real life problems as well”, adds Lynne Langdon.
Of course all of the glam girls drive expensive cars, go shopping at least twice a week on Rodeo drive and enjoy the best beauty treatments Hollywood has to offer. The result? Their irrevocable success and our exclusive Politikini photo shoot.
And what exactly is luxury to them?
“I was twenty pounds overweight three month ago”, said Jill St. Marks and adds: “Now I work out one and a half hours every day. Not to go to nine to five job every day and having the time to lay out at the pool to get a sun taint, that is pure luxury. ”
“Money doesn’t buy happiness but the lack of it is misery”, observes Donna Spangler. “It buys comfort. Some things you don’t need but sure enough it is nice to have it, like getting my hair done at least three times a week. Money is important as air and water.”
“90% of all marriages are breaking up because of the stress of not having money. And most women look for financial stability”, said Lynne Langdon, who partners with Rick Hilton in real estate business.
“My daughter has a full time nanny and goes to private school with David Beckham and Tom Cruise kids.”, said Simona Fusco Stratten.
“I am thinking of buying myself a yacht”, said Brittan Taylor, who made her money in real estate.
