Governator, who said Terminator 4 would include him, at least in CGI form, now says no
By Jeffrey Mitchell

HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 4/22/08 — “T4”, to star Christian Bale (“Batman Begins”) as John Connor, will not have the Governator at his back. Although “The Terminator” franchise is enjoying a pop resurgence, the man behind it all, Caiforina Governor and (former?) actor Arnold Schwarzenegger will not be there to deliver his iconic line “I’ll Be Back.”
Though still in office, he had said T4 would include him in, at least in computer graphics so he didn’t have to leave his work running the state. Some media stories even had Schwarzenegger deciding to return into the movie business, signing to star in two big money sequels.
One earlier website report said Schwarzenegger, 58, had agreed to work once again with the Oscar-winning director James Cameron for the forth “Terminator” project and for the “True Lies” sequel. Not going to happen.
Confusing the situation, the movie sequel rights to T4 have been bought by Halcyon, which means new contracts and changes.
The Governor has taken leave of acting like his other qoute in the Terminator series “Hasta LaVista Baby” as he turns his head to helping the 2008 presidential republican candidate John McCain.
Actress Moon Bloodgood is now final negotiations to star in the fourth installment of the “Terminator” franchise, the Hollywood Reporter says.
Bloodgood starred in NBC’s short-lived series “Journeyman” and in movies such as “Eight Below” and is likely to play the lead female character in the upcoming “Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins,” set for a summer 2009 release.
Bloodgood will join Bale, who plays the world-savoir Connor, Sam Worthington and Anton Yelchin. She will play a “no-nonsense and battle-hardened co-leader of the resistance who is carrying a lot of guilt over surviving the nuclear holocaust.
Joseph McGinty Nichol, or McG, is directing. Filming starts next month in Mexico.
The new film’s storyline is being kept under wraps but what is known is that the plot is an integral part of a trilogy beginning after Skynet has destroyed the greater part of humanity in a nuclear holocaust, trade paper Variety has reported.
In late February, distributor Warner Bros. announced that “Terminator Salvation” would be released in North American theaters on May 22, 2009, a date which strategically coincides with the U. S. Memorial Day holiday weekend.
It was the first two films in the series, 1984′s “Terminator” and 1991′s “Terminator 2: Judgment Day,” both written and directed by James Cameron, that enjoyed the greatest box office success and made Arnold Schwarzenegger an international superstar. “Terminator 2″ grossed $204 million in the U. S. and $516 million internationally.
The last film in the franchise, 2003′s “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines,” starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, Nick Stahl, Claire Danes, and Kristanna Loken. It was directed by Jonathan Mostow and grossed an impressive $150.4 million domestically and $433 million worldwide.
Schwarzenegger, Stahl, and Danes are not returning for the new film.
Warner Bros. will distribute “Terminator Salvation” in North America due to its contract with Halcyon Co., which owns the franchise rights. Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group will handle international distribution.

Awesome info! I was honestly just thinking about something similar to this the other day so, it was almost “weird” when I ran across this. You would be surprised how many people simply have no idea when it comes to this kind of stuff. Anyway, thanks for getting this info out there and I’m sure I’m not the only one who appreciates you taking the time to post this for the masses.
