Ex-employee claims Lohan owes at least $55,600

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Today) 4/9/08 – Fifty-five thousand dollars may seem like pocket change to a star as big as Lindsay Lohan, but it’s an important figure to her ex-bodyguard, David Kim. He filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court Monday, claiming the 21-year-old actress and her production company still owed him at least that much for work done in 2006 and 2007.

Kim claimed in court papers that he worked as Lohan’s bodyguard beginning in October 2006, but had to quit the following March after his wages were denied. In addition to alleging $55,600 in lost pay, he claimed business expenses, such as car repairs, server tips and wages he paid to other security personnel, were never reimbursed.

So far, the only response from Lohan’s camp has been to disavow any knowledge that Kim ever worked for the Bronx-born starlet via an anonymous quote on People magazine’s Web site.

Lohan first came to fame as a Disney child star, appearing in the remake of the classic kids’ movies “The Parent Trap” and “Freaky Friday” in addition to several direct-to-TV films. She later found success in more mature features, such as “Mean Girls” and “A Prairie Home Companion,” but has struggled recently with negative publicity surrounding her time spent in rehab and two arrests in 2007.
