LONDON (Hollywood Today) 2/29/08 – Amy Winehouse may have just won five Grammys, but she’s dropped off Scotland Yard’s radar. English prosecutors have decided not to charge the 24-year-old singer with attempting to interfere with her husband’s court case.

“Amy is pleased to be discounted from the investigation and thanks the police for their professionalism in their dealings with her,” said Winehouse spokesman Chris Goodman in a statement.

Blake Fielder-Civil, Winehouse’s husband of nine months, was arraigned on Friday for allegedly assaulting James King, an east London pub landlord, in June and offering to pay him approximately $397,000 to drop the case and leave England. He has pled not guilty. Police had arrested Winehouse on Dec. 18 on the suspicion she conspired with her husband to pay off King.

Winehouse is best known for her hit single, “Rehab,” which reflected her personal struggle with substance abuse. The London native is currently in Paris for Fashion Week, where she is being paid $1 million to perform at Louis Vuitton’s fall line show, and is in talks to develop her own clothing and makeup line.

Too bad no one cares anymore…she is still acting and sounding washed up. What a waste!

I read Shakespeare and the Bible, and I can shoot dice. That’s what I call a liberal education.

If I had learned education I would not have had time to learn anything else.
