Latest l’il scandal to rock Disney, “Hannah Montana” suggests on-screen actions speak louder than words.

HOLLYWOOD, CA (Hollywood Today) 2/13/08 – As a role model to tweens and young teenagers throughout the world, Miley Cyrus is starting to learn that every move she makes is subject to scrutiny.
Consumer Reports targeted the “Hannah Montana” star on Monday in a blog post on the magazine’s website. The entry cited scenes from Disney’s recent 3-D box-office phenomenon, “Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert,” in which Cyrus can be seen riding in a Range Rover without a fastened seatbelt.
While the controversy may not seem as bad as the media fall-out from the Hannah Montana ticketing frenzy a few months ago, the New York based publication insists Cyrus has a responsibility both on and off-screen to make the right impression on America’s youth.
“It seems to us that Miley, her father and Disney had a perfect opportunity to help influence teens and counteract — rather than encourage — this trend,” read the Consumer Reports blog message.
In 2006, 65 percent of the 13 to 15-year-olds kids who died in car accidents were not wearing their seatbelts, according to the magazine.
Despite many fans’ irritation over the news that Cyrus uses a body double during portions of her live concert, the filmed version is a huge success. “Best of Both Worlds” soared past the $50 million mark in less than two weeks.

It’s true that she made a mistake, but it’s going to be helpful for the youth , and for her.Now that she realized that we watch everything she does, she will be very careful.I think she has a chance to encourage young people by doing what is right . kids imitate what stars do so i think she will think twice this time before whatever she does.GIVE HER A SHOT! nobady is perfect.

Stupid,How can someone blame her for a seatbelt not being fastened in her show. It’s not like the car was actually being driven, she most likely had been in the car off and on for hours, and she was concetrating on doing her job of focusing on her performance. They have people who’s job it is to catch such errors, that’s where the failure came. Not with miley. People don’t like her, fine, but don’t harp on stupidity in attempt to make her look bad.

ARE YOU SERIOUS!?!?!? WHO ACTUALLY PAYED ATTENTION TO THAT!?!?!? My sibling is a major Hanna Montana fan so we went to see the movie, HOW COULD SOMEONE PAY ATTENTION TO THAT!?!?!? Either way, it actually makes a bigger statement to kids if she is apologizing for NOT than it is for her just doing it. HOW CAN YOU CARE!?!?!? This is SO STUPID! IT’S A MOVIE! WHEN I WATCH A MOVIE, she was talking during the scene, I would pay attention to, I don’t know, listening, than look to see if her freaking seat belt was fastened!!!! So stupid.
