HOLMBY HILLS, CA (Hollywood Today) 2/4/08 – The New York Giants last minute victory over the previously undefeated New England Patriots was wildly popular among the throng watching the Super Bowl at the Playboy Mansion on Sunday evening. No matter who won, 2001 Playmate Of The Year Brande Roderick figured to come out a winner, because she had organized the first annual Playboy Mansion Superbowl Benefit Party, which attracted some 700 guests, models, athletes, celebrities, dancers and performers, producing a profit for California Police Youth Charities.
Wearing a skimpy football jersey, Roderick said that this was the first event put on by her new company, Financially Hung Events, and that tickets had gone for $2,500 each. Many of the revelers were models who had flown in from around the country, most dressed in sheer lingerie. That was more than a dozen or more girls who wore only costumes painted on their otherwise naked bodies and high heel shoes. One girl told me if almost felt as if she had clothes on.
“I hand picked every single model that is here,” says Roderick, describing the girls she looks for as “first of all a beautiful girl, and what that means being beautiful actually is inside and out. You have to have a great personality, be personable and be a sweet nice person. First and foremost. If you’re like that on the inside, you are going to show that on the outside.”
Roderick, who is based in San Diego, plans three other parties this year; and says the Superbowl party will be an annual event. There will be an event this summer and one at the Kentucky Derby.
Roderick says the parties are a mix of actors, actresses, models, playmates, athletes, basically every persons dream. If you’re a woman and want a hot guy, you come here and see them. If you are a guy and want a girl, you come here and see them. Whatever it is you want, you want to see a rock star that you grew up listening to or a music band like the pussy cat dolls, we have (the singing group) Strawberry blonde.”
There was also a silent auction and performance by Kiss My Sass, an OC dance group, as a prelude to a performance by Vince Neal. Hugh Hefner and his girlfriends did not attend, but they did show up on videos from past parties played after the game.
